$2.34 a gallon...unleaded...and HOPEFULLY still dropping.
Yeah...now that I've started back to work after summer break...when I don't have the time to go on vacation...the price drops....
...grumble,grumble...
-
there's an upcoming election. let's enjoy the relatively reduced prices while we can.
$2.59 was the cheapest here
-
Gas prices typically do drop after the summer is over. Election or no election.

it is amazing how the bush admin also controls the global price of a barrel of oil :)

$2.26, corner of Coit and Park

thing is if it dropped because of there being an election it would have to help whichever party is in power in that particular state
while we overall may tend to blame whoever is president overall on issues
Come local election time we tend to blame whoever is in power in our area

I paid $2.14 yesterday. Competition is a good thing. Only Texas has more gas stations per capita than Ohio. (Ohio has a gas station for every 2570 residents roughly. Texas has one for every 2154 residents.)

I like it how the president managed to make it so a deepwater gulf oil drilling project spanning 20 years somehow managed to strike it rich right before a critical election season. Our president must be a genius to pull that off!
Er... If he is that smart, why do so many people simultaneously claim he's stupid and smart enough to manipulate the global economy to help out his own part, which doesn't even support him, during an election?

Man when I started driving gas was $0.64 cents a gallon.
damn now i feel old :cry

Back about that same time, I had a job after school pumping gas at the Texaco station. The pumps had mechanical displays, with only one dollar digit. I still remember the day gas went up to $0.299 and I was able to barely squeeze $10 into a lady's Cadillac. That pump rolling over from $9.99 to $0.00 was a conversation piece around the station for some time :)

Hello Granpaw! :D

$1.85 a gallon 2 hours south of me at the Conoco in Branson, MO.

$.29 cents a gallon when I started to college...in a red 1970 VW Beetle. Four dollars worth of gas would fill it up.
