lets see here. aerosmith, iron maiden, soilwork, trivium, children of bodom, and arch enemy. i pretty much like a lot of defferent music from classic rock to death metal. i really love some of the death metal beats. but aerosmith and iron maiden are just plane awesome. some of the death metal music is awsome and it really gets you going. its funny too cause im no where close to a goth.

Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park

Beatles, Zeppelin, Zappa

Nickleback!!! Saw then in concert last year with 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mud. 3 Doors Down was supposed to be the headliner, but Nickleback stole the show.

Lesee,
I'm mostly listening to Classical and Blues/Swing/Big Band these days - John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Louis armstrong, Big Bad Vodoo Daddy, Django Reinhart, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Sam and Dave
As to Rock: Tragically Hip, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jethro Tull, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, George Thoroughgood, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, STP, Rush, Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Cream, Hendrix, The Doors, Skynyrd
All time favorite Rock band would have to be THE WHO, has been since I was a kid .
As a general rule, I can't stand CCM. Although I liked the album "Jesus Freak" by DC Talk. I much prefer old Timey Gospel and Bluegrass, Mahalia Jackson, Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Union Station, etc...

First concert I ever saw was, Lynyrd Skynyrd with The Climax Blues Band in 1976. Classic for me. Aerosmith to ZZ Top and all between and were good!:aok

Aztec Two Step, Bare Naked Ladies, Pre Rock of the Westies Elton John, Harry Nilsson, Badfinger...dang, too many to list.

Two I haven't seen mentioned yet are Spoon and The Eels. Like some others have mentioned, I haven't heard any really great rock music from the last 10 years or so, but both of these bands have proven themselves to be exceptions to that. Both are groovin' laid-back alternative rock.
You can listen to some samples of my favorites at CDnow:
Spoon (http://www.amazon.com/Gimme-Fiction-Spoon/dp/B00082ZRN0/sr=1-1/qid=1158451400/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-7460713-7627117?ie=UTF8&s=music)
My favorite is the song "Two Sides of Monseur Valentine"
More Spoon (http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Moonlight-Spoon/dp/B000069DOH/sr=1-2/qid=1158452346/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-9926394-0354432?ie=UTF8&s=music)
Give "The Way We Get By" and "Don't Let It Get You Down" a listen.
Eels (http://www.amazon.com/Shootenanny-Eels/dp/B00009B8G2/sr=1-5/qid=1158451686/ref=sr_1_5/002-9926394-0354432?ie=UTF8&s=music)
Favorites off this album include: Rock Hard times, Dirty Girl, and Lone Wolf. Check out all three. They've got a bunch of other good stuff too.
You can also find both bands on Pandora (http://www.pandora.com) internet radio, too.
