Title: New Host Improvements
Post by: Goomba on September 15, 2006, 05:29:11 PM
Good Job, HTC.

48 hours, and 8 significant changes implemented to address some of the most prevalent issues raised by those who seem to risk a stroke over the new format.

Griefers really need to take a deep breath, let the dust settle, and see if you can manage to improvise, adapt and overcome.

Personlly I appreciate the responsiveness, and look forward to continued improvement.  You can continue to have my money.  Still the best 15 bucks in gaming.

I'm satisfied things will come along nicely with time.  And I sure won't miss the people whose head explodes when somebody moves the cheese.  :D

have you been able to get the new commands to work?  are you in a squad?

The changes work if you are on squad channel, what they don't fix is the same issue of communication for some of the larger, multi-winged squads who use country open vox channels for comms.

I'd like to think of it in an optomistic way instead of a pesimistic way.

Orion..if you're just kidding around, cool.  I knew somebody wasn't going to be able to resist tagging me eventually.

If you're not...I don't see the need to be insulting.  It's not like HTC gives away freebies anyway.

And 'Senior Member' is related to number of posts, not the length of your subscription.  100 posts and you can be 'Senior', too.

Traveler...Yes, I'm in the 385th CHawks/RTC.  We are a large, multi-wing group.  I hope they will address vox comms across arenas soon.  I think I read that HTC was working on that  We've successfully used the squad text across arenas, but I haven't tried out the .c and .p commands yet.

Yes, its in fun.  But, there are issues with new arrangements.  Especially where squad nites are concerned.  We ran into a problem with arenas being too full to bring whole squad on.:lol

Oscar Wilde's view on optimism as, intellectual terror or as a good thing that only flourishes for the isane in an asylum.

But true philosphers view "Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will".
True optimism must live side by side with pessimism for a balance of both is needed for ones health.

Oscar Wilde's philosophical view on optimism is just another opinion to be ignored for optimism is only feared by the pessimists.

I was discuraged at first, but know, I'm starting to like it.  All it needs is minor tweaks by HTC and some side balancing by us.
