Title: Strange X52 issue
Post by: TinmanX on September 16, 2006, 08:17:59 PM
Been using my X52 for a good long while now.

Just recently, when I apply full left rudder, full left aileron and full elevation (my stick is full twisted counter-clock and at 7 o'clock) the lights start flashing on the stick (throttle remains normal) and I lose all input control from stick (again, not throttle, which remains fully opperational) and I end up augering.

These inputs are necessary for one of my favourite ACM's so the stick is in that position a lot and often with force (you know how it gets in the middle of combat)

To recover, I have to unplug the set-up from PC and re-insert, then re-load AH.

Is my stick going, is the software funky or what?

It goes from bad to worse;

My stick works fine in windows.
All the axis check out fine in AH advanced callibration.
Yet nothing inputs in flight. No control of any aspect of the game despite response from the calibratrion menu.

I use an external USB 2.0 powered hub to stablize my X45. I used to get intermittent weirdness until I got one.

Hooked up my spare stick (ST290).
Same thing. Checks out fine in Windows, checks out fine in AH Adv Calibration. Nothing in flight.

Yup, tried it all and got nothing to work.

What did work;
I renamed my Settings folder and created a new one in it's place, launched the game and it's working again. I'm guessing a corrupted config file.

Thanks for the help Eagler
