If we put priorities, we need Beaufighter. Lets see.....
( one more reason to have it... *52* squadrons was using it. )
Four (4) x 20 mm Hispano cannon - fixed in underside of forward fuselage
(initially loaded with 60-round drums, later equipped with belt feed)
One (1) 0.303-inch Browning or Vickers K, manually-aimed, in oberserver's position
(Fighter Command versions in general did not have this manually-aimed gun but had
six x 0.303 Browning machine guns in wings, four in outer starboard wing, two in outer port wing)
One (1) 18"/ 1,605 (728 kg) or 22.5"/ 2,127 lb (954 kg) torpedo
Wing racks for eight rockets or 2 x 1,000 lb bombs
305 m.p.h. (490 km/h) @ sea-level
320 m.p.h. (514 km/h) @ 10,000 ft. (3,048 m)
***To the Japanese, the Beaufighter became known as "The Whispering Death" (not be confused with "Whistling Death F4U Corsair) which gives some idea of the speed at which one could suddenly appear, strike and turn for home.***
( You can also dogfight, some Beaufighters had shoot down ME-109s @
Mediterranean.)

Both of these were made up by western war corraspondents. What the Japanese actually called them we had no idea.

why? they are completely different, I just dont see the use of a Swordfish in AH. Better off with a torp carrying Beaufighter or a Beaufort

Marmaduke Pattle
The Uknown Best Allied Ace, 52-57 Kills flying *Gloster Gladiator* and later,
Hurricanes.
He died like hero he was, ill with doctors trying to keep him down,
one against all with his Hurricane.
(That guy bring tears to my eyes).
He died less than 2km (5000 ft) from the point where i stand and write to you. I can see with my eyes the general point where he fell.
His Hurricane is still sunk there.
The Hero. The Best.

nice list furball
an "aye" for the swordfish also.
hap

Swordfish - yes please.
It's so naff to be in a powerful fighter - it means little to survive - anyone can do that.
But to survive an op in a string-bag and return to base - now that's cool! :)

Boulton Paul Defiant. Superfly promised us this plane years ago. It's about time he actually got it finished! :furious

Were beaufighters carrier based?

You could just jump up and down on the runway and flap your arms instead. Seriously, a Swordfish?
-
The Blenheim would be a good Early RAF plane also

I dunno, hubs, seems like a lot of work to model something no one will ever use after the first week 'shine' has worn off. The plane and the concept was a total failure and Defiants were relegated to second line duty and target tugs after they were shown to be fatally flawed.
I'd prefer to see the beaufighter, something that could square off against the 110.

if you are after a carrier based torp bomber then a Fairey Barracuda would be much more used and much more versatile.
The Swordfish would be nothing but a hangar queen. It cruised at little over 100mph, it makes the goon look fast.

Beufighter would be awsome. grandpappy flew in them.
