Not even.
In NCAA football it has to be the 5 downs Colorado got to "beat" Mizzou a while back.

Fixed.

So this will just be another one of those "oh my gosh the football game changed my life" thread's like when the Steeler's won the Super Bowl? What's it matter, really?

theisman is not in the catoegory of
:furious worstest evar :furious
because you're not forced to listen to him on every big event, just MNF
-
IMHO that's one night too many.

I agree, this was an absolutely horrible call. Just as bad, if not worse, was the call that gave Colorado a 5th down to score.
In both cases, the crew in the zebra shirts should have been fired.

You have to be passionate about the sport to really feel it when bad calls are made. I dont watch college football, but I hate when those in charge of any game...be it a game of jacks, screws up.

I beg to differ. It's not the quanity, it's the quality. Theismann is THE worst evar.

What, no raider fans complaining about the tuck rule?
-
Worst call? Hardly.
A couple of seasons ago, PSU was doing pretty well. They came up against a tough team and were beating them, but just barely. The season was before instant replay (take note, this is important).
Anyway, the other team was driving for a score and pushing reasonably well. On 3rd and 10, the opposing team threw a 15 yard pass. The reciever went up in the air, making his body horizontal. The ball hit him in the stomach, and bounced straight down. At the time the reciever was about 5 feet in the air. The reciever fell ontop of the ball, and it was ruled a catch. PSU went on to lose the game, and their season sucked from there on out.
It is argued that it was this play and this play alone that was the sole reason that instant replay was reinstituted back into college games.

this goal was disallowed because the referee and linesman didnt think the ball had crossed the line.

That's the second worst.
Worst is the immaculate reception.

Why would Oregon fans be threatening him? The calls (was another one after that) allowed Oregon to come from behind and win the game.
Penn St at Michigan last year. Michigan player clearly steps on the sideline as he comes down with a pass. Ruled a catch and 1st down. Replay shows he steps on line, yet the replay officials uphold the call on the field (or it didn't even get reviewed, can't remember.) Pretty sure that was on a 4th down, so PSU would have won the game. Also, the clock doesn't start immediately on the next play, which eventually leaves Michigan with 1 second on the clock. Michigan scores on the last play of the game to win. Those calls cost Penn St a chance at the BCS Championship game (chance, because I don't know who would have come out 1 and 2 in the BCS had Penn St been undefeated.)
McCarver is the worst announcer ever. Even Family Guy (I think it was Family Guy) made fun of him on Sunday. :) Favorite moment in baseball ever is in 1992 when McCarver is in the Braves locker room and Deion Sanders dumps a full jug of ice water on him. All McCarver could come back with was "You're a real man, Deion. A real man."
Theismann ain't much better, people just have a soft spot for him because of the leg.
