What comes to mind when you say macho? Quick, first thing, don't think about it.
Meat, whiskey, bonfire, and fine gun with walnut stock.
Is that the modernized primeval hunter image or what?

Competition.

And funked posts a picture of bush's face over all of the village people.
What's funny is that he THINKS he is funny, and original.
Right now I'm reading a speach by my GGGGreat grandfather who was a democrat, and it's the same problem back then with demos that it is now. The democrats of 1900 assumed an Anti-republican stance, and then developed policies off of that. Not the other way around.

It's the gayest topic evar, what do you expect?
-
Well, I'm in Montreal right now, and I can tell you that I'm at least 500 miles away from anything macho...

Putting the needs of your family FIRST...Not being afraid to cry, or stand down...Helping people, having the ability to say no to pressure, and loving your country is whats macho to me

What's really funny is that you were immediately offended then your knee jerked up into your finger and popped it up to pointing position. :D

Is the one in the middle a chick or a guy?

silk shirts and handgrenades

Macho - some jerkwad wearing snakeskin cowboy boots, tight boot-cut jeans, tailored long-sleeve button shirt, handlebar moustache, and a cowboy hat, molesting some woman in a dimly lit, smoke-filled bar.
"Macho" to me means ego uber alles, and that pretty much describes most duded up city "cowboys" I've ever met, so that's the image that comes to mind first.

macho means male in spanish. all men are macho, some of us a little more than others. the term was used derogatorilly by feminists to decribe what women like in men but the feminists were too unattractive (and not just in the physical sense) to find a man that had it. being forced to marry balding pony tailled limpwristed liberals or become lesbians, often causing them to aquire macho traits themselves compelled them to further villify a useful component in the male persona, that which causes a man to stand and fight, even die in the defense of his mate and his offspring.
being macho is an altogether healthy thing for a man to be. the opposite of macho is effeminate.

host:: john, define "macho" for $100.
me:: what is not urban-sexual.

Hmm,..I would call that greedy,..not macho.
I never think about macho. I prefer to think about the women. Different strokes, I suppose. :)

Though there is the more common association with the word "Macho", similar to eagle's version, I learned that a real "Macho Man" was much different and have tried to be as much of one as possible.
As storch pointed out "macho means male "
My Father was "Macho". No, he couldn't fix a car, shoot a gun, or play any sport very well at all but his gentleness of spirit, his impeccable honesty, and the love he genuinely felt for his family and his undieing love for my mother spoke volumes of what a "real" man is. He passed away in 2000 never to be forgotten by those who knew him and the way he faced those final days of his life, knowing it wouldn't be long, will always be with me as an inspiration.
My ex father-in-law is "Macho". He taught me the value of an honest days work. He taught me to give my employer more than what he paid me for. He taught me the value of doing my best and striving to do better. He taught me punctuality and, as with my father, the love of family over one's own needs and desires.
"Macho" means these things to me.

The most macho guy I've ever met was one of my old dive instructors. He had a mesomorphic body type, and the Mike Ditka style mustache/haircut that so many ex-military types have. Anyways, this dude was the leader of my cities police department dive-team, he had a natural leadership style that just commanded respect. Plus he was really smart and educated too. He also did tri-athalons.
This guy didn't try to act macho, he just was.
