I downloaded the TE today and noticed when I try to start a new terrain it is always shows up as dark. Adjusting the time setting does not resolve the issue. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you select "new" yet?
-
just tried it ... same thing...
I'll try a few other things...

well tried different map sizes... rebooted.. reinstalled... still no-go

This is WEIRD. Ask skuzzy in a Private Message or an e-mail. He always has a good solution to these kinds of problems.

Have your tried placing any tiles in it? It may not be black. The default background is pretty dark. Dark enough if your monitor settings could cause it to appear black.

Thanks for taking the time to reply...
It will let me add objects, tiles, etc .. but it looks like it's stuck in night time. When I move the time slider it will show up in light for half a second then it will go dark again and flicker.
I recorded what it looks like:

I will try installing it on a different PC....

ATI video card? 9000 series per chance? Just guessing.

GT 6800 OC

Something wierd. As three of the computers here in the office have 6600 video cards in them and do not display this, I am left scratching me noggin.
Unless,....you are using those blasted 9x.xx drivers. Or is it a dual core AMD system without the AMD patch?
-
yeah it works on my other pc...
It's probably the driver, I did install the dual core patch...
Thanks anyway...
Have a good weekend...
