sorry mate, if this game does any time warp, it will be going backwards in time (or maybe forward a few years to korea).
the reason? because missiles are boring. if i want a game where i can kill someone by pressing a button, i'll go fly a modern jet sim. i play aces high because it isnt like that crud. if that's what you're looking for, see if you can find yourself a copy of lock on or falcon 4 allied force, but please, don't even think about asking to turn our beloved game into a computer management simulation ;)

jeez all u guys have to say is no im dont think it would be good but if you know any jetfighter games like this plz tell me and they better not be cd
-
go try lock on dont know whether its CD.

WOW. My first posts were rather retarded (and they continue to be) but this is just rediculous. If you wanted jet fighters, why did you get a game with a picture of a P-51 on the front?!? :huh
And someone has a bit of a temper here. If you didnt try to spell things so well, I might just think you were another account of taylortanklover.

Iam always again astonished what reactions a simple wish cause!!!
There dont seems to be a server based Jetsim out there, so what is so bad in asking the AH crew to use this already good working game as plattform for a post WWII Jet setup????
Did Spitbrit ask to take away anything we have??
Would this disturb us WWII enthusiasts??
I would say NO, therefor i dont see any reaso to pick up on him.
Say, "i would like to see Jets" or keep quiet, there is no reason to vote against it!!
spitbrit isnt a AH newbe, at least i saw him pretty often online, therefor he seems to know why the P51 is on the cover of AH and he seems to like to fly WWII planes, he simply did ask for additional planes, so what??
I personaly would like to see more WWII planes(Yak1īs, 109E7, Lagg3, I-16, Brewster Buffalow, MS406 etc) and since AH is supposed to be a WWII Sim, i guess there never will be the time to create Postwar jets, but once all WWII planes are done, why not??
Realy guys, grow up, noone wanna take your plaything away!
Greetings,
-
I am sorry, but as you yourself said "This is a World War Two sim". Just saying. And isnt Lock On one of those server-based? If they make a Jet game, we lose more players to that. We also lose time that would be better spent improving what we have now. Unless HTC would be doubling the staff up there, this WOULD be taking away our plaything.

Sure there were B52's during WW2, they were at roswell with the flying discs and the Aurora

Anyone remember when AirWarrior (can we say that word now?) was going to shift focus to the Vietnam Era? My first thought on that was that Kesmai couldn't compete in the now packed WWII arena, so they were going for something novel.
Eh, anyhow, leave the modernstuff to other development teams as far as I'm concerned.

Well, I overeacted. Yes I would LIKE the concept. I dont think it would work, because people would just HO with an F-15 instead of an La-7, but if it worked, yes I would LIKE it.

:noid :noid Just to get your attention, but heres a thing, get perks, a 262, theres your fighter jet. :) Cant say its modern, but come on. Who wants to move at 700 MPH and shoot a missle that locks on from a mile away. Dont you like getting 400 feet from a guy and blastin his wing off?

I have Lock On: Modern Air Combat. It's the most realistic aerial combat simulator I've ever seen (and I've played a lot), with Aces High II being a close second. Although realism is the feature I look for the most in aerial combat simulators and Lock On has the most of it, I don't enjoy Lock On very much. Why is this? It is because modern jet fighters do most of the work for you. They avoid the stall for you, they calculate your flight path for you, they even aim for you. The skill required to fly a modern fighter jet is great, but it is very small compared with the skill required to fly a World War Two era fighter. Why, a fighter jet can climb to its ceiling in about thirty seconds! And it has no torque or gyroscopic effect.
It is true that all simulators greatly simplify many aspects of flying fighters, but they do so proportionally; while it is indeed harder to fly a real fighter jet than to play Lock On: Modern Air Combat, it is also much harder to fly a real warbird than in Aces High. I speak of engine and fuel management and similar things. Regardless, both in simulators and in real life, modern jets are very easy to fly compared with older warplanes. To put such a talented team as Hitech, which is creating things that no one has ever made before (made well, at least), in charge of a simulator that has already been done well by Eagle Dynamics would be a terrible waste of talent and resources.

actually did you know it is harder to fly here than in real life to a trained pilot. For in a plane everything is in nice spots and a lot easier to find. And here you have to push buttons move your hands and set controls to your likeing and then memorize them. At least thats what I heard.
