I have this Rolling Stones song on my mind I cant figure out.
It goes something like this: " this could be the last time"
please help me
-
Last Time
Well I told you once and I told you twice
But you never listen to my advice
You don't try very hard to please me
For what you know it should be easy
Well this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, Oh no.
Well I'm sorry girl but I can't stay
Feelin' like I do today
Theres too much pain and too much sorrow
Guess I'll feel the same tomorrow
Well this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, Oh no.
Well I told you once and I told you twice
Some will have to pay the price
Heres a chance to change your mind
Cause I'll be gone a long, long time
Well this could be the last time
This could be the last time
Maybe the last time
I don't know, Oh no.

What he said...
But... Did this really require a 'Rock and Roll Expert?'
Seemed pretty novice level stuff to me.

Not true. I am 33 and have an absurd amount of music knowledge (except most country). No google is needed for me typically. This was lightweight though. Read the "stones, this will be the last time". Knew what it was.
Hell it's off of "Out of our Heads" if I am not mistaken.

ah, but how grand is the word pontification?! why, i dare say that the word "spectacular" only begins to explain the degree of your most perfect elocution.

yeah, that one was about as easy as "sitting on a park bench", but it was a "life lesson" on using google to find your song

if you say so. I drive my wife nuts with trivia. Attend a Con, I'll leave you speechless in "useless musical knowledge" as she calls it.

Well consider the age of some of the people here.
I know 20 years ago I was practically dumbfounded when I for the first time heard
"You mean Paul Mccartney was in a band before Wings"
Now there is a hell of alot of people who might now say "Who the hell is Paul Mccartney?"
So, if your older then say 40 and are into Rock N Roll
to some people here your probably an expert LOL

Speaking of Tull...I bought my first CD player just so I could finally hear Thick as a Brick uninterrupted.

Speaking of Tull...they were the first band I ever saw live. It was in 1996 and they were all old farts, but I was only 9, so it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Got myself a "Broadsword and the Beast" shirt (with the creepy Ian Anderson-looking guy on the front) that was 3 sizes too big, and wore it for a week straight I think. I still have it around here somewhere.

Speaking of Tull, they were the last big act I ever saw and my Son's 1st concert...circa 1991. They were all old farts in waiting , (like me) and the best live performance I've ever seen.
PS Second best, Alice Cooper 1972.
