Okay, you've been a good little boy or girl all year long (so far, anyway), and Santa says now you can have ANY gun you want for Christmas (or comparable religious holiday).
Whaddya want?
Oh, Santa also says his elves have a big backload so, just in case you can't get your first gun choice this year, tell him a second choice too.
I get to put in my wishes first since I started the thread:
Auto-Ordnance M-1 Carbine (preferably walnut, other hardwood ok too)
Alternate: a Kimber .45 1911
Disclaimer: Be careful what you wish for. No ammo or other equipment is included; depending on your budget, you might wind up with a trophy display rather than a shooter.
After you announce your choices, figure out a way to get your significant other a copy ... just in case Santa needs a little holiday help.

Got my eye on some real estate but there are some silly buildings on it with "people" in them. What a waste of good property.

Excel, I see we both got the same package!

I already have most every gun I want. I just don't have the means to take the entire "collection" with me. That 1300 lbs. of loaded vault just won't fit in the RV very well....... sigh......
Could Santa just bring me a pallet or 2 of ammo instead????? A nice selection of 7.62 Nato, 30-06, 7.62x39, 5.56 Nato, .45 ACP, 9mm and a whole bunch of 12 guage and .22 longrifle ammo would be nice for a starter.
-
M4 with an Ecotech sight, surefire and collapsible stock.
-
What Maverick said.
I'd just like a ton of 7.62x39 & .45 auto since the prices have skyrocketed. I'm not greedy.
-
All that's left on my immediate list is:
A 1903, 1917, FN/FAL (carbine length), Mauser Gewehr 98 and a Tokarev SVT-40
Any one would do :)
The FN/FAL might depend on who is elected Gov. in Ill. If Gov. Howdy Doody wins again, we'll have the semi-annual AWB fight for the next four years.
On the fantasy list is a nice G/K43
Someday, perhaps, an AR-15A1 model

Yep, my family are cheap bastages and sock weird.
I've never bought a sock in my life, but I've got more of them than you can count in a month of sundays and all of them are gifts.
No kidding, nearly two draws full of socks. I made most of them disapear once cause I needed the space, but that just encouraged them to buy me more socks cause I was sock poor!... 5 or 6 pairs at a time insted of the usual 2 or 3.
The strange thing is I've only got 2 pairs of shoes.

My son was an AK junkie. He knew everything about every AK variant there was as far as I could tell.
I still have his Krebs Custom AK74M built on a Saiga reciever, and his Polish underfolder AKM.
Now I've gotten the bug a bit since I lost him so I have a Bulgarian AK74 kit and another underfolder 47 that I'm going to finish.
So I guess instead of the complete guns, it's the rest of the parts and recievers needed to complete the builds of those two AKs in memory of my boy.
Never thought I'd like AKs, but there's a lot of variants and a lot of history there. Now I'm kinda hooked :)
-
i'll take a noisy cricket (the one from Men In Black)
-
i don't care which gun you give me. just give me one afternoon to shoot quail with Dick Cheney, please.
-
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
Yesterday I got a .30-caliber M1 carbine.
After a hundred rounds, it's everything I remembered and thought it still would be: my all-time favorite gun.
Here's hoping Santa rewards all of you too who listed your gun druthers.
