What RPG is the best. For example .50 cal is 400rpg better or worse than .50 cal 350rpg? Is .50 cal better with lower or higher RPG?

Uh.. you do realize RPG stands for "rounds per gun"?

It's how many bullets you get. The gun is exactly the same, just different ammo count.

More ammo will make you heavier (ie cost you turn performance). Same goes double for more guns.

Has the adv of having more to spray/more punch otoh.

If you fly something with 2 options, like the P51, you will often see there is 300 RPG for the 6-gun option (guessing here), but if you go down to 2 guns there's room for more ammo, so you get 400 RPG but less guns to shoot it (guessing here on the numbers).

Hey WTC, dont forget that each gun is also different in many ways

- Rate of fire
- Recoil
- Kenetic Damage  (damage done by impact)
- Explosive Damage (Cannons only)
- Rate of fire
- Bullet spread

Have a look here weapon information at Netaces.org:
Aircraft Weapon Performance (http://www.netaces.org/ahweapons/weapons.html#title)
Fighter Round Power (http://www.netaces.org/ahweapons/roundpwr.html)

Ehh, well...note that the allied .50 rounds have more of an incendiary effect to them. They cause fires more often.
