You mean when there was only one station and it wasn't a infinitely repeating Top 40 jukebox?

I though every country music radio/television station is an infinitely repeating top 20 jukebox (With the #1 song playing about 4 times per hour)

No wonder kentucky and tennessee are full of inbred people, too much country music :rofl :cry :rofl

Weird Al Yankovic has a new CD coming out on the 26 and VH1 is one of the channels he can more or less get on at will.

By serious I mean music that isnt written for the purpose of comedy. That is why i said 'Serious' instead of just serious.

I remember seeing Wierd Al for the first time on NBC's Friday Night Videos in the early 80's. Only 2 towns in the county had cable then.

Jesus I'm old.

"Appropriately, considering its subject matter, the music video for the song, directed by Russell Mulcahy, was the first to be shown on MTV, when the ground-breaking music channel debuted on August 1, 1981, at 12:15 AM. On February 27, 2000 it also became the millionth video to be aired on MTV [1]."

To paraphrase Adult Swim...

"Back in 1984 if we'd told you..."

"Micheal Jackson = Flameout"

"Wierd Al Yankovic = still relevant"

"You would've told us we were (*&!@#@!# crazy."

"Makes you think."

I knew as soon as jackson got the slim lined pointy nose and eyebrow tatoo lines that he was a fake human.
