Well our squad night was in shambles again....We can't get in the late war arena so we go to early war....the eny was up to 30....so I had to watch pacer get a good plane and kill all our crappy 30 plus eny planes!
Now I guess we will have to switch countrys to make the eny better so we can fly the planes we want to fly....so here I am paying 15 bucks a month to play a game that I can't even fly the plane I want or to get into a arena I want....thank god this is'nt the only game on the net!! and most of them I can play for free!!
Sorry Hi-tech you got a real loser here......I'm not going to switch countrys to fly....no offense but rooks and nits stink!!

And there ya have it ... you had a choice ... you made it ... your refusal to switch sides is your own doing and the cause of your angst.
At least you have proven that the reasons for ENY restrictions is valid. Ya want to gang ... then fly the inferior plane. Sad testament for you guys ... that one person can wax 30 guys ... altho pacer is a very good pilot.

slap shot...Im not going to pay 15 bucks a month to play a game that makes me do things I dont want to do....You will soon find out that if this game does'nt change there will be far less players...Including Mafia witch has been flying together for 15 years!!

LOL .. I have been reading the BBS with great intent ... and all I can say is that if you are that upset ... and keep threatening quit in all these threads ... then DO IT ... quit threatening.
The amount of "Chicken Littles" running around professing doom are a huge minority of those who will stick around and see what happens, along with those who think that that changes are the greatest thing since slice bread.
HT will take a ding on this, but not anywhere near the doom and gloom that alot profess and hope in the hopes that HT will change his mind.

Absolutely ... didn't you know that the nits and rooks are nothing but jerks, fools, trailer-trash, disease ridden individuals from all over the world that play this game. There are no likeable people that fly for those countries ... u didn't know that ?

You seem to preach switching sides like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Whom do you fly for? My guess, Rooks. My squadies and and I went Rook last year. After less than 48 hours after the switch we were told that we were not welcome and should leave. Needless to say we packed up our joysticks and left. We flew Nights for 4 months and really didn't like it there. We were not happy. With the Bish we feel like it's home. Not the best team as a whole but there is good people to fly with. Why should have to switch to were we are not welcome or happy?

Sometimes u can't get into the L1 arena,and u end up in L2 with a total of 60-80 people,usually more from one country than any others. Then when u get into L1 or Early arena there is the old ENY issue. I understand its more people on one country than the others. The problem is in the past ENY troubles would come slowly,now it's instantaneous. In 5 min u go from no ENY to 30 ENY. That realy sux. I've had some good fight in the new arena formats as well as problems. I am not happy about the new format. But all would be better if HT would fix these small problems. I love this game and I like 95% of the bishops that I fly with.I don't want to switch side just so I can fly a plane that i'm paying monthly for. Look we all like this game, we just want some of the issues that always come up with a change to get fixed. It's been a couple of weeks and no fixes have happened. If it keeps going with no fixes we r going to lose some great people. Do us all a favor and stop telling people to go ahead and quit, that's a stupid and childish way to deal with the real problems some people r upset about. There r real problems here and we need them to get fixed thats all. Hang in there Kaw and Others we don't want to lose anyone to the game change.

KTM, the BK's dont have a country, we fly every country. What I usually do is log on and switch to whatever country is the lowest at that time. I must say that I like flying with/against all the countries. Every country has its jerks and every country has great guys, and I enjoy them all.
BTW, do you have a KTM 520? I've had a several KTM's, Penton's, Husqvarna's, and a bunch of Japanese bikes.

I fly for whoever I feel like I want to fly for and I mostly fly for the underdog ... so I am not chess piece predjudiced.
So a few people rubbed ya the wrong way and you left ... my my ... thin skinned I guess.
Don't switch ... its your choice ... but when you are flying around in Stukas ... don't come crying here ... suck it up for your beloved chess piece ... or when you vastly outnumber another country and smash them to win the reset ... don't puff you chest out too much ... not something to be too proud about.

I understand that the ENY is out of wack at the moment ... I usually never encounter ENY cause I usually fly for the country with the least amount of players ... but if you are wacked by ENY, well ... can't feel sorry for ya ... think about the other guys who are being overwhellmed by your superior numbers.
Let's give HT sometime to tweak.

ive flown with the knights for a while and the rooks for a while. i like the bish the best. but its my opinion.

Yes, I do. It's been my main race ride the past few years. Great bike. I read a couple of different boards and keep the same name on each so I don't forget who I am:D

I wouldn't say just a few people. I would say a vast majority of the Rook community. The reason was that we were side switching. We just wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side of the fence. That was frowned upon.

Slap if everyone left who was talking about, I think there's a dam good chance something would change.
I think a lot (like me) are waiting to see what the tweaks are going be before making a choice.
You never know you might get exactly what your after, a frickin ghost town with you and your minority in it (of course you'll then be the majority.).

Complete conjecture on your part ... but if we are the majority ... you can rest assured that we will do our best to balance the gameplay and switch to countries accordingly.

I understand the "squad night" frustration. Our squad is small so it's not a problem, but with the small arenas, if you bring in (if you CAN get them in) 12 guys it can really mess with ENY. With 200 on a side, hard to do, 12 on a side, pretty easy. Shillelagh still (after 13 years) exists only for FSO, but it is nice to wing with someone. Up till the change we used to wing with 47 Ronin. Nice to have someone cover your 6. Hard to get the same 3, much less 10, people in LW1 now.

Host changes
We made the following host changes today to address some of the issues that have come up so far.
Added a dot command to find other players online. The command is ".f playerID" typed into your text buffer with playerID being the ID of the person you are looking for.
Added a dot command to send a page to another player in a different arena. The command is ".p playerID message text" with playerID being the ID of the person you want to page and message text being the message you want to send.
Your squad text channel now works across all arenas that your squad is established. (Will work across all Main Arenas, perhaps other arenas as well)
A player can now belong to a separate country for each type of main arena. Country change times are also independent between main arena types.
Fixed issues in the ENY side balancing system that was disabling field guns and could disable all planes if sides became too unbalanced.
Some early planes are no longer retired from service in the mid and late arenas.
Hangar hardness in the early war arena is 75% of the mid and late war arenas.
A new main arena of the same type will be added to the arena list when an arena becomes 90% full.

This was posted on the 15th, days after new arenas came to life. No Changes, or improvements, check out MOD screen when you log on.
Going on two weeks...........work is being done, and I don't envy the boys at the office what so ever. Maybe they can stop taking days off and start working 24/7, that is until everbody is all happy. (some folks just need to get over themselves......& if the shoe fits....slip it on, ....if not.....then disregard)
My squadron doesn't like the ENY either, damned sure sucks when it jumps to 30. Does the squadron pi$$, whine, and moan about it YES! Then we face it, we've one of two choices, 1: switch countries, 2: Expand our skill levels to have the ability to fly the P40, and other lovely flying bricks (he he & not get killed lol). We've chosen #2. Is it tuff........YES! But at least we don't have the handicap that others have................the ability to fly only 1, or a limited number of ac.
Adapt and overcome, leave all others behind.

I'm just not sure what all the outrage is about. I for one am having more fun than ever.
I guess if you like flying in the company of 80 green chess pieces in an uberzoom cannon plane to vulch and capture bases, the new setup is a real drag. :cry
I guess I just don't understand loyalty to a chess piece or a single plane (despite my squad being a Mustang squad...)
The absolute most fun I've had was flying a D3A against a base that was upping almost exclusively Hurri I's. ENY had probably gotten to them, but damn, we were all having a blast... :D

Im one of those evil country hopping spies too :). Out of chioce, because i have friends on many countries and like to fly outnumbered.
Do i get smack at times for that? Heck yes. But i usually say "goodbye Knits, im off to help the poor rooks, see yas later and good hunting" or something along those lines. When i get the "You ***** spy" treatment, i also smile and say, "sorry, Bish paid me more this week ;-)" and smile about it. The "Hello Schatzi, what are you doing flying with a green icon here? " usually outweight the bad responses.
I guess you guys just caught a bad day.
That said.... the grass IS greener on the other side. Always ;).
What i want to say is this: You can choose to switch countries and live with the consequences it brings. Or you can stay "loyal" to your chesspiece and also live with the consequences (ENY, etc) like LTARokit pointed out.

You all have points here. I think his main complaint is that he didnt want to horde, he wanted to fly with his squad mates. Being forced to change sides just because you want to fly with friends really sucks. However, the high ENY isnt all that bad. When I get the "no ENY<25" (Which is the highest I have had) I just say hey, ill fly a P-40B instead of an E. Might as well give it a try. Especially in the EW, if you cant fly an ENY less than 10, it doesnt get any worse. (Not that I like the Uber planes, I use P-40s far more) Just take it as a chance to experience something new.

It's not numbers hat bugs me. I have no loyalty really to Knights , rooks , or bish. Fly kights cause thats where I been and started basically. I have flown Rooks as well and they are all the same.
But , If you can't fly with your friends you enjoy flying with , talking to , having a laff with because "people should switch sides" , then why play.
I mean the squad I fly with is really more fun to joke with , talk , shoot the crap whatever , than flying agaisnt them for the "Sake of gameplay".
We can go the DA and do that.
There maybe several squads that fly all over the place in differnt chess piece areas , but we have always flown together. Like I said...If I want to shoot or be shot by squaddies...We'll take it to the DA.
