Title: Locked out again!
Post by: HawkFive on September 24, 2006, 07:55:35 PM
7:50 PM Sunday. Can not get in LW arena,it is maxed out.Tried other arenas, nothing going on.This is becomming absurd.I signed up to be able to play, not wait for chance to get in arena!

This is not as good as it was before and I do not care what HT's objective is.They are NOT delivering a pleasing game experience.

Someone will say "quit whining".This is not whining. When you PAY to play and can not, something is wrong.

I've said this before, but we dont pay to fly a certain arena, we pay HTC for the ability to rent space on their server. The only thing our $15 entitles us too is server time, not a particular plane or arena.

Really?! Where did you read that?

We pay to play the game, there are no specifics about it, so what your wrote is just your opinion, not official word from HTC.

The game includes all arenas. You pay to play the game and there is always an arena open to you.

Right, that is what I meant. You are not entitled to specifics (plane, arena), with your $15 you rent access to HT's servers. That is not opinion, that is the nature of online gaming.

Have you ever played any other online games?  Have you ever heard of Hyperlobby?  That is where many, many other online flight sims are played IL2, Lock On, EAW, Falcon and the list goes on....... I myself have played and continue to play on Hyperlobby.

Around 50 players is the max for any given server.  The number is actually usually less than that.  240 ish players on hyperlobby right now (In the Forgotten Battles area).  Most of the servers hold 20-30 players and sometimes they are full.  That means its time to find a different server.  Join a different game.

The point is that this situation is not uncommon in online gaming.  There are other arena's for you to choose from.

FWIW I understand your frustration.  However I truly believe that you and others are passing judgement far to quickly.  Instead of foucsing on the arena that you are unable to log into, give the MW or EW arena a chance.  Both of then really do have alot to offer.

The current set up actually offers the subscriber many more choices not less.  Try to see it for what it is.  Set the anger aside and you may be suprised how good this configuration actually is.

That it is.  Although the games played on it are not.
