This thursday night Sept. 28 @ 10pm et in the AvA arena will be Operation: Holdfast
All are welcome to attend. Please keep the sides 60% Axis / 40% Allied to allow for buff numbers. Please use the planes, and up from the field shown for use for your side.
Its unlimited lives. If you havent done this before, we who have work hard to play within the spirit of the event. Fly as units, rather than piecemeal. Use the assigned rides. Keep it fair.

Finally, another Filth mission, and I have to pass due to a late corporate function.:(
Hope you all have fun!

Although the ships meant to transport the POWs were sunk, and the guard towers were blown...the VH remained, and the POWs werent transported to captivity by trucks.
Thanks Oldman for setting it up for us.
Thanks all who attended. Keep an eye on this forum for more in the future.

I heard that the prisoners made a break for the coast right after you hit the ships and guard towers. 70% made it out to sea where E-boats and a U-boat were waiting and rushed the back to the fatherland :)
thanks for your time and energy FiLth & Oldman setting these things up. They are much fun

Filth, thank you.
This was a superb example of how it doesn't take a lot of people to create a really great combat situation. When the first mission launched we had, what, three Allied and four Axis pilots? Yet the mission was lots of fun, and there was time to run it a second time in the total span of only an hour. Everyone followed the rules, everyone cooperated, and the people who showed up after the mission began fit right into place.
Particularly in light of all the whining going on about the MA arena changes, I found this to be positive reinforcement that the game is every bit as good as it's ever been, if the players put some effort into it. Thank you for your effort in creating the clever hypothetical and in managing the stage, and thanks to everyone who showed up.
