Mafia had a good experience last Monday night squad. It started out horrible with LW1 full LW2 only 15 to 20 players or so, and MW around 80 players. EW was around 100+ i think but eny was a problem there as well.
Mafia decided we would give MW a go. We weren’t there 10 minutes and the eny went wacko! First it was 12 then 3 mins later 27 then back to 15 in the next 5 minutes, then jumped to 30+..it was a wreck trying to coordinate anything cohesive.
We sat in the tower for 20 minutes of the first 30 minutes complaining about the crazy ENY.
Basically we like to fly the same planes as a group. It keeps us together better.
Long story short,
When the numbers got right. Example 42-23-30...The leaders asked the entire squad to switch to the lower side (Knights) and see how it worked out. All but 1 out of the 10 of us switched (one refused). Bottom line...we spent the next 2 Hours flying what we wanted...where we wanted and with balanced opposition. It was a very fun night. We didnt take any bases which is what we like to do...but all in all a nice experience for all.
So for this night it all worked out. However on a typical night when we have roughly 20+ members online, this method would not have worked.
I don’t think the Mafia will ever be a squad that splits up and fights each other in a Main arena setting. We do enough of that in training environments. But I see several other options that we can adopt to keep it fun.
