For a moment there that plane looked like it was made to run into skyscrapers. What precisely is this plane intended to do? Go from GV mode to Plane mode?

It was design to be used with paratroopers. Since no plane was big enough to take up a Russian tank, the russians decided to make a flying tank. I belive it would be tugged, then released and it would glide to its destination, where then it would land, release the wings, and then support the Paratroopers with armour support. I belive this did work, but by the time it came out, the russians were already at the Germans back doors.

Okay, I was wondering what those tracks were for...

Anyways, was it tugged along with the paratroopers with something such as a C-47 then dropped? That would be weird since our paratroopers don't even use their guns!

I believe it might have been tugged by the transport planes, or maybe a bomber.
