Sure would be nice for me if squad chatter was heard over range. Id really like it if range for gvs was squelchable? As many times as a guy in my country has heard my plea for supplies theres been so many others where I couldnt hear the check six for range chatter and maybe this might help with some other issues lately? hint hint!

Would be good if you could set the volumes for each under-preferences-sounds. Squad Vox and Range Vox each having there own slider.
Probably a task to code it though.

Yes its realy a big problem. Gvers and especialy some persons
talk too much. They talk All the time, like the microphone belong to them.
( A known problem to radio amateurs ;) )
The bigger prob is the occupied freg and that you cant listen 6 calls.
Its very anoying falling in flames still listening the prettythang talking bs.
I dont want bs about sa, i want the freq clear for check 6s,
and there is only 1 way to have this.
Separate the country ch in two modes Air and Gv, as in reality.
You dont have every gv talking to planes in reality. They have differend freqs.
For contact with planes you have air officer attached to your gvs and he
make the contacts with planes, speaking the same language (technical).
In AH we need also this CH where a gver can tack with planes BUT
switching to Air CHannel.
Keep gv chat out of Air Freq.

what about a ground range channel and a air ground channel ? would be a hassle for planes to report ground target thougt.
I think the only solution is squelch :)
-
How about being able to squelch the guy or guys yakking it up??
oh wait....:huh

<>
Its exactly what we need. 1 more channel. No hassle, just 1 more button.
The cost is very little, and the profit huge. Clear freq, listening only what you want.
If you want hear & talk to gvs, just 1 button far.
And the best solution is make it an option, so someone can choose,
1 mode as is today, 1 mode 2ch air-ground.
( squelch dont work cause maybe you dont hear the other guy,
But he continue to occupie the freq and the 6 calls still dont pass. )

Maybe the radio tool bar GUI could be upgraded, so it feels less 'text-based' (if you can get what I mean...) and looks a little bit more real.. something that might resemble a radio frequency tuner.
Basic handling would be the same as it is now - either mouseclick a certain channel window and type in the frequencies you want to use, or use the dot command.. etc etc..
However, it might contain some separate set of buttons that allow you to 'fine tune' the range of your frequencies... push a button, a pop-up window protrudes from the radio tool bar, and then you can set the preferences for frequencies...
Like, for instance, set the preference to 'air only' or something, and range channel would pick up and receive transmissions only from planes, excluding the GVs. Or, much in the same manner, a GV driver could select a 'ground only' preference, and when that happens he'll be able to pickup only range channel transmissions from other GVs, not fighters...
...
I dunno, but I think there could be a lot of neat-o stuff can be added to make the game more convenient to enjoy.

Anyway the AH comm system is getting really rusty, it looks really bad compared to other online games (not to say it litterally sux)
-
@ 2002 we left roger wilco, and AH comm system came.
It was a really good improvement.
But now we go to 2007. Some changes are needed.
Kweassa, yes something like that but more simple, cause not many
people feel confortable with freqs and such.
(channels are more easy to use)
A realy good improvement will be also a Range Priority where you will
hear your nearest planes Over the more far, if they talk at the same time.
Usually you need more the nearest, squaddies-friends, than the more far.
And also in reality more near more strong signal from the radio.
In BoB for example they had a flood of voices and screaming on radio,
but usually you was listening your squadies cause they was more near to you.

This is what I do:
Lower AH volume
Launch QCD (free here http://www.quinnware.com/)
Rock out.

Got news for you guys. it works both ways. You don't think you guys in planes talk over us in GV's??? And in REALITY you don't fly or drive cartoon planes and Gv's.
