Yep, it's a highly modified/modernized version of the Camberra, Martin WB-57F.
-
It was a Canberra with the high alt recon package (longer wingspan) and upengined from the original. In short it's a mission similar to what the U2 does / did.
Great photo's, thanks for the link!

Amazing the amount of money and hardware being used in such a desolate, third-world country. I am however in favor of giving the people of Afghanistan a better future than the Taliban was providing.

Cant see why that would be censored, Im not in favour of our troops still being in Afganistan but what could be wrong with excellent pictures of what is there and the gear they are flying?

looked for it on http://www.Airliners.net, l think this is the same aircraft in the picture, says NASA and the stars and strips on the tail lead me to think that the USAF operates it :-)

Its not MP3, YOU GOT SKUZZIFIED BIATCH!!!
lol.
Skuzzy said you have to post some thoughts or statements, not just links or they will be deleted. It went bye bye because you didnt say anything, you just posted pictures.

If you start a thread with nothing more than a link, and no commentary, it will get whacked. The MP's, nor myself, are under any obligation to review the linked pages.
Because too many people link to pages which can contain spyware, malware, or any number of bad things, it is up to the thread starter to post what the link is about and why it is being linked from here.
The MP's will be consistent in this, regardless of the linked page.
