Looking to Join a Squad.
Currently part of Bishops. New Player but past 14 day trial.
I tried to post this in the Squadron section but it would not let me post.
-
I would say get into the arenas and ask around for squads that are recruiting and fly with them for a few days... try around if there are a few and pick the one you like best.
-
I would check the Squadrons section of the forums

9GIAP VVS RKKA, we play to reset map, and only as bishop.
Fell free to check out our site http://www.9giap.com (http://www.9giap.com)
Or check for us on arenas ! See you round.

I would check out the list of squads here at AH. Look them over and visit the squad's web sites and see if it is something you might be interested in. Most squads have some sort of theme, ie. fly mostly german planes or P38's or GV's etc etc. You may need to switch countries to fly with the squad of your liking. Ask to wing up with them and mention you are interested in their squad. Might take some time to find the right fit but, not to worry there are alot of squads in this game.
Good luck and good hunting,

Wing up with people flying when you fly. Make some friends. If you like flying with them, get around to asking if they're in a squad. Chances are, if they like flying with you, they'll ask you first.
Don't join a squad just to join. Fly with them for a few squad nights. You want it to be a good fit for you and for them.
Squaddies make the game. Choose well.
Good luck.
HONK!
Gooss

Check the ingame roster and click on the squads at the top. That will rearrange the roster and you can see what squads and the number of people in them.
Best to find a squad that fits the times you fly.

I had the unfortunate experience of witnessing one of these acts..........it is NOT pretty and is most likely illegal in most states.
Again, you have been warned:eek:

Not only do some squads favor certain aircraft, some seriously operate in only one aspect of the game -- fighters, bombers, or GV's. Some try hard to do all. Some just want buddies to fly around and get into furballs with. Some want to organize and take bases to win the war. Some squads are full of the young, silly and stupid. Some are made up of the older, wiser and more helpful. Some take historical accuracy seriously, some don't. Some fly loose, funny and friendly. Some fly seriously, strictly and even restrictively.
Some just want killers and don't care how you play or what you say, the badder the attitude the better. Some want people with friendly and compatible personalities regardless of current skill and will teach you the tricks and techniques of ACM and combat. Some squads are very large and some stay fairly small. What do you want?
The point is don't rush this as way too many new pilots do. If you don't want to be joining and leaving 2 or 3 different squads over the next six months, take the time to fight with and meet different people from various squads. Chat with them as you fight and if you like them, check out what squad they're with. Look for other squad members and watch what they do and how they do it. If you like them, just keep showing up to fight with them and/or ask to join some of their missions.
