Title: Profiles in Courage
Post by: Shuckins on October 05, 2006, 04:47:55 PM
A news report that I heard on the radio while driving home from work this afternoon stated the following:

The oldest Amish girl slain by the crazed gunman in Pennsylvania, in an apparent attempt to buy time for the younger girls, stepped forward and told him to "Shoot me first."  Whereupon, the next oldest followed her example and told him to "Shoot me second."

Marian Fisher...and Anna Mae Stoltzfus.

This comes from testimony given by the younger girls who survived.

I confess I'm overwhelmed with emotion.
