It'd be in your best interest to delete those posts if you can Jon, they might be construed as a personal attack by HTC. Just a heads up.
-
Not only a potential personal attack, but yes, there were plenty of unintercepted bomber missions in all theatres of war. Sometimes not even by ack.
-
Well, I didn't understand any part of the entire post. It does seem kind of like the English language, but the words are all mixed up with no grammatical order.
Indeed, no real order or semblance of intelligent assembling of words whatsoever. I am.....perplexed.
well, all I can say is "Well, strap my face to the side of a pig, and let him roll in the mud!"
huh?
:huh

Or to put it in a different way.....
what the Fiddle f___(fill in the blanks) are you yapping about?
BTW, there are no nazi's here. We got that sorted out roughly 61 years ago.

Illinois Nazis showed up in the old CT about 3 years ago. Arlo dispatched them rather quikly though. Not sure if they were in Ju88s or a Pinto.:huh

Alex, I will take "WTF?" for $400...:huh
-
I hate Illinois nazi's
-
Some of them have nice pick up trucks.

Who cares if Whels pocketed 1k,10k, or 100k perks? Does it affect you in anyway?
I don't even agree with Whel's style of gameplay (base grabbing), but he is more than welcome to milk run as much as he wants. So long as he doesn't force me to play the same way...
Its about as laughable as people researching scores of some unknown AH pilot to 'decode' the possibilty of vulching a second account. If people want to waste their time, let them, bitterness will get you no where.

This bla bla bla is related to this other post in which more bla bla bla bla was included.

My Gran seen a Zeplin over Coventry late at night in WWI.
-
I certainly hope this post was directed at the general state of things in the arena, and not at Whels himself. The fact that he was the only Nit on and was still getting things done was commendable. It's most certainly not his fault that no one upped to defend their cv.
-
Call me a Pollyanna or whatever...
The word NAZI, to me, implies a politcal party, driven by a madman and a fervor of nationalism, fueled by Hitler's obvious insanity and hatred of the Jews.
Millions of people died during the WW2 years. Far too many.
I can deal with referrals such as German, Axis or Luftwaffe. "Nazi" leaves a bad taste in my brain. I suspect others feel the same way.

Trying to translate English into English, I think his point is, in the 3 country system with limited numbers on, even the lowly Ju88s can be unmolested. This little glitch will need to be worked out over time. BTW, 1000 bomber perks gets you what? a B29??????????

to all i apologize for the post. but the word nazi is valid in wwII. but i was not not intending to cause strife by using the word.

Just an FYI since the topic has sort of come up. I fly for JG-3 UDET, primarily because they were the first squad who asked me to join way back when, and not because I have any great love for Germany, the Nazi's, or even flying German aircraft (which I don't, and rarily do unless it's a bf110).
Anyway, for the first time in the year and a half I've been flying here, about a week ago someone on an opposing side, after killing me in panzers and using what I think was a shade account, started gloating "I love killing Nazi's" and otherwise giving me a ration of s**t about being in a "Nazi" squadron. Attempted friendly explanation about the historical concept of the game and benign representation by some squadrons of German Luftwaffe units fell on deaf ears. Many rather nasty comments about glorifying Nazis, killing Jews, etc. were received from this individual throughout. Conversation didn't last more than a couple of minutes as it was quickly evident that both he and it were pointless.
Thinking back on it afterwards, something about his tone suggested that he might have been less sincere in his diatribe as opposed to just wanting to bait someone for fun and pleasure. This led me to deduce from checking his score history that this was most likely a long time (and accomplished) AH pilot riding a fairly recent new account, probably so he could engage in just this sort of behavior.
Given the real world attrocities of the German, Japanese and Italian nations during WWII, I would think such behavior and attitudes over these topics, directed at or about anyone playing with a historically representative squadron, would be seriously verboten in any form, at any time.
So, I'm wondering if this is true, and looking for any intelligent comments or observations about this incident and the topic as a whole.

I don't think jon gets it that whels wasn't only one on. He got those perks because others were milking arena. and he was greatly out numbered. I switched 1 day to fight 12 -15 rooks . i changed from rook to nit killed 3 lancs in 163 got 200 or so perks for defending against milkers made over 1k perks in 3 hrs fighting rooks alone, until REsmith came on to help me. then we took 12 rook bases. I would kill towns re would m3. or i would cover him kill ing towns in a plane. was landing 60 to 100 perks every sortie. at 1 time eny bonus was upto 60.25.
complaing that wheels got perks for fighting horde is well STUPID....................... .............................

This just makes me want to milk-run... :D

... Shame there isnt a button on the game that castrates the guy talking to you. I cannot stand people like that, I have heard that one too many times in real life and recently nearly got suspended for a fight resulting from a conversation like that.

Neither *** nor nazi should be blocked. Their usage can be derrogitory, but their meaning isnt, (for the most part). Nazi is a term used by the people who they describe, and therefor, they do not deem it to be derrogitory. *** on the other hand... I have used it (once) and the japanese guys I used it arround didnt so much as frown.
edit: as a rule of thumb however, I avoid usage of words such as *** or 'Nip' regardless of who my present company is.
-
it all depends on the context the word is used.
saying "YOU J**" or "YOU N***" is not right should meet with VERY VERY strong hand from mods.
however saying something like "J** planes turn well" shouldnt be class as a insult, its just a shorter (faster) word than japanese. hell you have to use "txt spk" in the txt buffer because its so short.
however something like, "N*** planes" would be wrong, because they arnt N*** they are german.

Exactly. But that begs the question: Should the word 'Nazi' itself be 'bleeped?'

Nope.
There were Nazis. They were proud to be Nazis. The term accurately describes them.
There were never "j..s" It was an expression invented by Westerners to demean Japanese.

i think nazi should be bleep'ed, while J** shouldnt. There isnt many ways to use the word nazi politely. Especially in MA / general discussion environment.
plus, im 95% sure the world nazi is banned in Germany, and even france?
however if J** continues to be stopped, maybe HTC should stop Brit, Scot, limey, yank commie, redneck, *insert random name* as well?

I agree with the second part, however I dont think 'Nazi' should be bleeped, because often when people on these boards talk about history (Which is very common) they must use the word nazi to describe the Whermacht and the Third Reich.
