Why is message screen in center of screen covering gun sight? is this normal or did I do something wrong during install? I'm trying to decided between ACES High and WARBIRDS. Next question only have 8mb video card is there 2-d like WARBIRDS?

You mean the text buffer?  If so, it sounds like you changed resolutions, so what used to be bottom left positioning is now towards the center of the screen.  Just drag it with the mouse to the bottom left or whereever you want it.

There is no 2d mode here like in WB.
