Title: AH Comercial
Post by: Reynolds on October 08, 2006, 07:47:17 PM
I just saw the AH comercial, and I must say, it wasnt quite as thrilling as I remembered, but I did feel a twinge of pride knowing "That is where I fly!" Just thought I would share that...

I will go down there and personally destroy every disney channel transmitter until the comercial contract is up... [translation: I dont mind kids, but I HATE imature people. Im tired of hearing "Your not the boss of me!" followed by my little "Um, you are in my squad. You are an airman. I AM the boss of you."]

Ive got too many squeakers in my squad to complain, so long as they listen, and until they prove themselves, they only say the 'Seven Approved Phrases': "Yes Sir"; "No Sir"; "Sorry Sir"; "Thank you Sir"; "Imidiatly Sir"; "Permission to pose a question Sir?"; and "Permission to make a statement Sir?"

Stick to that, and your okay in my book ;)

If they earn their place (Which can be done in thirty seconds, or may take thity years) they can say whatever the hell they want.

(Oh, and the next to say "Your not the boss of ME!" is, well, suffice to say he will have a WGr21 somewhere it REALLY doesnt belong ;))

The AH commercial is voiced by none other than our fearless Typhoon pilot, Coach. Various market studies have proven Coach's voice to attact an 10 - 12 year old age group. For those of you who don't know Coach, he's that guy on the OXI-CLEAN commercials who screams everything :D

If that had been the case, I would not have joined aces high. I joined to fly Heavy Bombers.

Alot of us film makers could make some pretty decent ones but the hard part is the copyrights to music.  Ranger, Tango, Yucca, Kermit, Spiffing, Waffle, myself and countless others have made films... but the minute we toss in Tango's "Gunfighter's" video HTC as well as Tango would be getting a lawsuit so be none of us would have a game to play anymore and Tango would lose his computer! :rofl
If the actually rights for somehting is owned we are okay, but right now alot of us, myself included don't try to make a commercial because we don't have any music for the background.
If anyone does have info on music to be used or if someone can make music for HTC to distribute to The Filmmaker's of Aces High, I know alot of us would be popping out commercials for HTC! :aok

My goodness reynolds let the kids have fun man its just a game. If that is how it really sounds on ur squad channel my god snore fest!!! In order to be a good squad your players got to bond toghter and have good times cracking up, singing telling, telling jokes, and have fun on the radio!! Now when we are in combat siuations by squad is strictly buisness but even then we have a good time!!!

P.S. Reynolds im just giving you a hard time my man!

BTW kids are difrents not every kid is a helium voice. I have a kid in my squad goes by LilAl if this kid didnt have a younger voice"No its not helium"
I would have thought he was 20 some I would be willing to bet that this kid is one of the most mature kid in this game. So when u say kids shouldnt play aces high fellas thats not true only imature kids.:aok :aok

lol. They MUST be robots until they prove they are capable of independant thought. That normally only takes like 5 minutes. Trust me, hang out on my squad channel. Until we get into the fight, we are real loose. Ive had my guys call me all sorts of names, jokingly. And as for singing, Jp21 will buy a ticekt to hawaii, find my adress and rip out my larynx if I ever sing on squad channel again, (or so he says) so naturally I sing all the time ;)

3:00 AM is good. I am forced to watch disney at 0300 every morning because I cannot sleep and every other channel is 'Paid Program'. I hate disney, but its better than 3 hours of "Bam! And the dirt is gone!"

I had a movie in mind but i dont really want to spend 400 bucks on a new video editing program, but i could always get on limewire

OK the commercial opens up with a eary music score, and the screen is kinda fuzzy with a hint of a white haze, shows bombers taking off (about 10 or 12 sets), then a heartbeat goes in after 3 seconds, then it goes completely white and goes to 109s and 190s taking off(about 15), another heartbeat after 3 or 4 seconds adn it shows both of the sides in the air going towards eachother(white haze stops), music is getting a faster beat to it and then the music stops as the 109s and 190s goes in for the "easy kills" this is probably 5 or 6 seconds.(music goes to a really fast pace, exciting score) The bombers are being attacked for about 6 seconds with views from both the 109s and 190s attack views and the gunner positions on the bombers, then the p-51s dive down on the luftwaffe planes and the camera goes to a few dogfighting views showing the 109s and 190s getting torn apart, back ground theres bombers going down, on fire, having fuel and oil leaks, FLAK everywhere...

If anyone wants to use this idea go ahead, cause i wont have the time or money to make this...

Dunno how long the comercial is, all depends on how much HTC is willing to pay for a slot, but this can be done in 30 seconds, that would definantly get me to buy the game...

Not bad visuals there. I used Premier in the past but now use Pinnacle Studio... very nice and inexpensive. You can add graphics, art, blue or green screen, music transitions, animations. Just plain nice.

You need music?, contact an agent that represent film music composers... they have libraries full and are willing to give some away to promote an up-n-comer.

If you are interested, I'll give you a few contacts..  parent is a retired agent.

If you want some rock with a punk edge, contact my good friend Wendy:
http://www.myspace.com/thefabulousmisswendy

She's got a small library of her own music, and a CD on itunes that if you asked nice, I'm sure shed let you use. Tell her Mark sent you.

Edit:
Also look up my buddies NoWayJose, or NWJ:
http://www.noway-jose.com/

They get local play on college stations, have a few really good CDs and they'd be into something like this.

The newest AH commercial that I have seen on the MIlitary CH is much better than the previous IMHO.  The inflight cam, in the fighters, looks much smoother than the chase cam previously used.  It "looks" correct now, as to what we normally see during a dofight.

Im not saying it's perfect, but much better than the previous.  Watching it, I said, "Thats Right, smoke that guy!!"

Yes I saw the new one about 2 days ago, looks ALOT better, if I wasn't playing AH now, that would make me sign up for sure. It doesn't give the YOUR MY SQUAD FEELING for 12 year olds, but a flight sim for the more serious ones/adults
