Title: X-52 Again
Post by: Kaw1000 on October 09, 2006, 09:17:56 AM
Well I had a new puter built and now have a new set of problems with the X-52............I can't get it right in the game......can anyone tell me where....the sliders go.....I also have the sliders for dead band set close to zero...and the dampers are set at about a quarter.......when I move the stick from left to right there is hardly any movement in the plane and when I move it real fast to the left and right the front end bounces back and forth real bad.
To be quit honest I have had this stick for about a year and have yet to get it totally right.......I have never been able to get it "fine tuned" yet.....when I'm in a dog fight and try to zero in on enmy.....I have always gotten the bounce thing going on..I just can't get it to respond the way I want. when I'm on someones 6....when I move it to fine tune it on the enmys 6...its sloppy
Thanks for any help you guys could give!!

Are you talking about the in game sliders only or the ones in windows?  When I finally found the windows sliders it made a big difference.  You can make each axis as tight or loose as you want.  I didn't mess with the dead bands what so ever.    As far as the bounce go's I would guess that would be somthing to do with how much or how little dampning you have set in game.

This is just a guess. :)

the sliders I am talking about are the ones that go from 0 to 90   you know???  the ones that can be moved up and down ....there are 3 sets of the for each axis........when u hit the advanced tab then high ligh the 4 different catagories....throttle...and three others......where should they be????

I have mine set to default....  The only thing I have changed is the dampning on the elevator axis and that helped out with the bounce I had.  But other than that no problems.. Sorry I can't be of more help.:(
