Title: Warning: Proud Father Moment
Post by: Ripsnort on October 09, 2006, 02:24:58 PM
As for the pictures linked,  they're untouched and need some clean up(time to show your stuff, Bye Bye!), I had the ISO set rhigh, and no fill flash (can't use flash at the game, coaches request) and it was drizzling out (no stadium lights on, which IMO is insane...)

Anyway, Ron , my son's head football coach, had an incentive for yesterdays football game against our opponent, Two tickets for 2 different Seahawk games, CLUB VIP level seats, for the best defensive player and the best offensive player in the game.

Needless to say, a certain someone stepped up and had 8 tackles and  3 QB sacks including knocking out someones mouth piece with hit big enough to get the crowd to say "Wooooooooo" and he's taking his Dad to the Club VIP seats for the game! :)

Final score, Puyallup 19, Maple Valley 6.  They never even had a chance with the way our defense played as a team yesterday!

Here is a couple of shots of Mr. Defensive MVP yesterday:

This little boy in blue isn't going anywhere!

A QB sack has been recorded! (Look at that hippy hair hanging outta his helmet!)

Late in the 3rd quarter, another QB sack, he's alittle jacked up as you can tell in this post-sack photo ;)

"Alittle help from my friends"...this is Gordon on top of the ball carrier, I purposely tell Gordon to brush his teeth AFTER each game, not before! ;)

I was pissed I didn't get downfield sooner on that shot, he was at the 32 yard line or so, and I was at the other end, about the 40 yard line (60 feet away) and my lenses was fully zoomed in so there is a bit of distortion.

I missed the play :(

Only thing scarier to that QB than seeing 37 would be if your son had bloodshot eyes
:rofl

Thanks guys, I'll pass him this thread. :)

He's a Defensive End and a Fullback on starting O and starting D.  Last year he was 3rd string, Safety and tailback. He put on 12 lbs. in the offseason, working out at the YMCA in the winter and spring (light weights, lots of reps, running, and good diet) and attended a week-long overnight football camp in the summer.  He's in pretty good shape right now :)

Here is a pic of him eating another QB the week before last:

And the week before that....

AND...he even "eats his own" Quarterbacks in practice. hehe!

And a pic of him running the ball (fullbacks don't get many carries, but when he does, its always for positive yards!)

If you take a good look at his helmut on this pic above...this helmet was new at the beginning of the season. He LOVES to punish people, and he counts his helmet scratches like a warrior does his scars. :lol

He has 9 sacks in 6 games (3 yesterday! Must have really wanted those VIP Club seats! :p )

Wow, if I must say, he looks like he really enjoys eating those QB's.

And he looks good as a FB aswell.

Making me wish I weighed enough when I was his age to play football...

I mighta been better fit today....

:rofl   Well, don't line up just yet, his projected height/weight by the Doc is supposed to be 5'11" and 185 lbs.  That size, as well as being white, eliminates him from NFL contention. ;) (Just kidding! Well, sort of...)
