Dont really understand mind posting pic?

Rogerdee, the spawn points are registered in the direction they are facing, if you place them west of the base, but they spawn facing east, the spawn point will be labeled "East". And Visa-Versa.
Are you asking about the Bitmap Clipboard Image, or the tiles on the terrain?

the actual tiles on the terrain they dont seem to blend tograther very
well like at the waters edge or where two different types join.
doesnt look like the maps do in the game they seem to blend in better and dont look all square

They manage to make a side-ways transition. They place tiles in a manner of side-ways travel, so it looks as if it's a different transition, it really isn't. All MA maps use the same tiles you have available, they can not be altered to be submitted for approval and use.

blocky looking map
If you're talking about the clipboard map the TE "Makes" then yes, it's very blocky when you build a small terrain and is less noticeable as the terrain size gets bigger. The work-a-round is to use any bmp processing program to smooth the transitions and colors as much as possible. You might also want to look at using NHawk's nice Mapbmp.exe program which supplies much nicer colors then the TE and is very quick. It uses the elevation file to determine color but either way, for a better looking Clipboard you’ll need to retouch it in a bitmap processing application if you want the quality of one of the MA maps.
