Title: ah doesn't recognize my joystick

despite it did, now the joystick doesn't appear into the joystick screen. the mouse appears, but only buttons & scroll work. Is there any way to get my joy back? Thanks to anyone that could help...

I dunno if I can actually help or not but couple things that may improve your chances of someone who knows a lot more than I do of bein able to help you out is to include what kind of joystick ya got and if you were doin anything to your system before hand.  The only time i had that kind of problem was when I first bought my Saitek X36 AH wasn't recognizing it and when I checked in windows it wasn't recognized there either somthin you may want to check on if you haven't allready.
