Title: BattleCom Blues
Post by: DMax on May 07, 2001, 10:35:00 AM
Our squad uses a static server for BC. I seem to be the only one with this problem: when using BC I transmit fine. When receiving, most, not all, comms repeat twice. I'm not talking about a mic echo...there is a half second delay between the same comm.

I'm using SBLive! and have checked Shadowfactor.com for solutions. My drivers are current. Any possible solutions?

Thanks,
DamnedMax

We use BC in our squadron also.

Most of the people using SBLive have had this problem - some still do.

Solutions which have worked:
1. Turn off the SBLive Echo effect
2. Use head phones instead of speakers
3. Use key activation instead of voice activation.
4. Use Charlie compression or below
5. Upgrade to Cable/DSL.
6. Get another sound card.

It's one of the available compression algorithms.  It's on the low quality side I think... but up from Alpha and Bravo.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
