The pic above: I want to 'remove' the 3 guys across the street somehow...can it be done in photoshop?
How? What do you call this procedure? What do I look for under help?
-
The guy on the left wil be the biggest challenge. Yes, you can remove them with Photoshop, but then you have to fill in the spaces left when they are removed.
It can be done.
-
It involves a lot of fiddling around, but it's possible. I use the clone tool at various sizes and opacities. Grab other areas that may be a proper filler for what is behind the men and paint over the objects. I extrapolate what closely resembles the background.

This is amateur quality...actually...quality i think is the wrong way to measure the suckage.

2 minutes demonstration using just Photoshops "healing Brush" with just the mouse.

of course to finish it really good you have to do some manuall pixel work,
but healing brush is a damn good help if you dont have enough time and
work constantly with deadlines ;)

I prefer this technique:

"Moke" means several things: originally, it was a slang and dialect term in England for a donkey, but it has also been used as a term of contempt for a Black person or any dark-skinned person.
:cry

Amazing.

Pretty good, except for the guy's ghost is still there. But we are not here acknowledging the presence of the Paranormal, that would be crazy.
-
GhostFT and Octavius: thanks for the heads up on using the clone and healing brush tools.
-
dont forgett the "terminate" button! ;)

Have question for you gurus. I find myself in need of some photoediting software to do basically what you guys did in this thread i.e. taking people out of pics and cleaning up things like relections in the paint of cars from photoflash. I was wondering if i could use an older version of photoshop. I have seen edition 5 for like $30. Was wondering if it would do it or if you guys know of a better deal. Does 5 have this magic healing brush. I am working on some promo picks for my new business and in some of the pics of cars that we have modified and you can see the reflection of the person taking the photo. Also would like to take out a fence out of some of the photos backgrounds. Any knowledgable input would be welcome.

IRAF (http://iraf.noao.edu/) is free too & as powerful as is possible if you know how to use it.
sadly, nobody does.
-
discovered another way to deal with this problem...(starting to get the hang of this)

-
Instead of buing a new version - buy an older version, and then upgrade. BUT before you do - see if you can upgrade and how much it will cost....then do the math.
-
I was told there would be no math on this quiz.

:rofl :rofl OMG I'm dieing, funnyest stuff this week. great photo fixes, espeically the Nilsen Magazine cover
