Aces High Bulletin Board

Hi
I have got Aces High on my old PC, its an old version but runs fine.
I have just downloaded AH today and installed it on my new PC, when I stated it up, it went into the main menu, and was dark grey and in the background it looked like the clipboard was spinning unround uncontrolably.
When I tried to Loggin, the window that says "Unblock Connection" (the firewall) could not be reachable, because it locked up when I tried logging in, when It said something about not being able to connect, the firewall unblock screen disapeered (Some trillion thingy).
I changed some graphic setting to try and fix the spinning clipboard, but somewhat made it worse, because now, when I try to start Aces High it either freezes on a windowed screen that is just blank with whiteness, or sometimes gets to the main menu but freezes, I have tried re-installing, but nothing works. Its like after I changed that display setting, it has locked it into the PC and cannot be changed!!!
I dont know what kind of video card I have in here, and not sure how to find out, but its a 256mb one.
Help plz
:furious

Hi,
spinning clipboard might be caused by AMD Dual core processor, or then not. Some system information would be helpful.
Click on your Start menu, choose Run, type in "dxdiag", there's a button there for "Save all information" or such (sorry, I have a Finnish version of Windows so I don't know what it is in English) and then copy and paste the first third of that report in here.
And you probably could allow AH to access network in your firewall before trying to connect.

Here i posted some dxdiag stuff, is there anything else i should include?

That's enough for now, I see that you do have AMD Dual Core. Install Dual Core Optimizer and drivers, there's a discussion about those in the Hardware & Software section, link (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=181720). I hope that will help you with your problem.

Also, turn down the hardware accelleration in the SOUNDS tab of dxdiag utility down to "standard". Otherwise you might experience random crashes.
Make sure your firewall allows aceshigh.exe. Or turn it off completely while playing.
When uninstalling aces high, the custom settings get NOT deleted (in other words when you reinstall into the same folder, you end up where you started from).
To change the video/graphics settings to default, simply find your installation and delete the SETTINGS folder manually. (if you have already custom settings like mapped JS or such, try only deleting the Video.cfg file in the settings folder first).

thanks, I hope this helps
