two feet of snow fell in western New York State last night, 80% of roads impassable, heaviest October snowfall in 137 years according to weather service.
global warming is hell.

it makes me miss Buffalo!
-
Yuck! I hope we have a couple more months before it hits us!
-
That continuous band of snow was cool to see on RADAR. It seems like someone had just parked a giant snowblower on the lake.

Don't know if that is sarcasm or not, but the warming effect will cause bigger snowstorms. We have got some pretty big storms in the past(nor'easters), and I would ask how much bigger can they get, but I don't want to throw a hex on myself.
Which reminds me, I need to get the thrower serviced.

as long as that cold air keeps blowing over lake erie, it's going to keep going. it happened a few years back when we got 7 ft. of snow in lancaster (burb of buffalo).

How can the alarmists lose? Warming will either cause a global ice age or melting ice caps swamping coastal areas. Now that's hedging your bet.

Pretty typical October in Texas. Maybe a little on the cool side.

I can normally be seen in shorts in the Winter here. Even in the Teens and Twenties (degrees).

Yup the rain has been nice too. It made my grass turn green and I actually had to mow it.

Was anchored on the sound side at tween waters watching tv when the World Trade Centers went down.
We were weathered in there for 6 days before we got chased into Cape Coral by a tropical storm.
Glad to see they got the place put back together after the big blow of a couple of years ago, South sea's is just now getting back up to speed.

Snow in October ugh. I presume it's the old lake effect thingy that effects the area. It snows about once a year here. Last time was Christmas day believe it or not. It snowed on Christmas eve and melted on the 26th. My one and only white Christmas.
Here in Galway it's still pleasant and warm in the sunshine at the moment but the rain is not that far away I imagine. This part of the country is way too damp. I'm going to move back east as soon as I can.
