You WERE warned, the trainer asked you to change the subject and you continued, ultimately ending with you sending out the big F.

This pretty much sums up why you were muted.

Do you realy belive you have the right to refuse a request from some one in charge. And then you continue to push them, and now you belive there should not be any consiquences for your behavior?

I would say a little reality check is in order.

That particular symbol is just another way of trying to circumvent the filter, do it in the MA and you will get a warning as well.  It doesn't matter if someone else got away with something, take a picture or a video and send it to HTC.

But now you know.

The thing is, alot of the people who have behavior problems, tend to be repeat offenders. An hour? If it were me it would be a "Cya..thanks". I would'nt be interested in their business.

LOL i am not a repeat offender,is first incident and last TYVM

And speaking of rulz unevenly applied i know what MF is supposed to mean, which makes its use  a way of bypassing the filters, but i mite get the post edited for its use while it goes on being used by others in this forum openly and without reprocussion

BTW the getsure was a >S<  with a f :) i saw rulz #4,5,7 so this could be edited or deleted and replaced.

to be perfectly honest i do agree with the trainer in this instance because  it was clear that you came into the TA with a motive just to have a pop at us (or me) about the scenario and she did warn you.

just out of interest, was your previous handle Juntts?

Me being RAF in BoB had *nothing* to do with muting you in the TA.

Speaking as an ex trainer, ex Trainer Corp lead, frankly, people do not remember 15 minutes.

Now you'll not likely forget the hour anytime soon will you?

Besides, in the TA if you have a rowdy crowd the trainer would get nothing else done if he had to rewarn, reboot people every 15 min.

At an hour the people at fault have a bit more time to rethink their actions. The Trainer involved gets a breathing space in which to actually train.

Plus people have a chance to cool down before they come back in.
Otherwise you'd have hotheads wanting to continue the same arguement that got them in trouble in the first place, right?

Now you know why :)

Go forth & sin no more grasshopper!

The default mute duration in the TA is 60 minutes (3600 seconds)

Any Trainer can reset the default for each individual instance.

You were fortunate that Schatzi was the Trainer, some of the other Trainers would probably have ejected you when you refused to comply with a rules related request. You got off easy.

If two players have a beef, the TA is not the place to settle it. Moreover, there's never any reason to broadcast over the country channel anyway. That is what the PM option is for. You should be advised that unacceptable language in PMs can have consequences as well as a film or screen shot can always be forwarded to HTC for review.

Furthermore, whining on the BBS only reinforces the perception that you do not know when to zip it closed, cut your losses and move on.

My regards,

Widewing

The power to mute a player in the arenas is not applied in an equal manner; it's just something you'll have to get used to or stop paying HTC your cash & leave. It comes down to whether or not the individual with the power likes you personally. If you were warned to "change the subject" & you didn't I can't see being muted either, but the F-bomb is verbotten in most public online areas so you knew you had it coming right?

1 hour is the defult time.  The mute could be cancled at any time.  Ive never left anyone muted for the duration.   What I have done is tell them privately what I expect from them when I unmute them, and that the next step is the boot if they won't comply.

When I'm in the TA, it makes no difference who you are. I treat everyone exactly the same when it comes to them disrupting the arena. My experience with the rest of the Trainers is that they try to be impartial at all times.

However, if someone has been bounced repeatedly due to bad behavior, they will be watched more closely and rarely get more than a single warning before muting or ejection.

Widewing

I didn't mean to imply that you are a repeat offender.

However, there are some who are. The good news is that most get their act together. Those that don't, we ask Skuzzy to deal with them.

Junkit!

Thanks for the apology today. Classy all the way through.

Let me apologize myself here. Not for muting you (ill do that again in a heartbeat if you repeat what you said then) - but for the hour. I usually wouldve unmuted you after a few minutes, asking you to be civil or ejected, but your logging off (and coming back later) threw me. Aside from that, you *were* on a roll there :)..... like you said in your first post: "... too bad I deserved it".

Speaking without knowledge........obviously you have no clue as to what transpired.......nor do I, as I was not there at the time, were you?

Stick to the facts.........where u there at the time of the incident??  Oh... I see, in other words ur forming an opinion based on here-say, or BBS.  Says a lot dosen't it.

Not tryin to fish, or create a ruckus, but give it a rest!!  Salute to those who needed to enforce the rules..............even a bigger salute to the individual who admitted he was wrong, the training Corps had to do what was needed at the time.

It's a thankless job the training Corps has.  At times nothing more than a glorified baby-sitting job.  Thus is the reason I the Training Corps, so much knowledge to share, yet wasted on babysitting.

I've played this game for nearly 4 years, and have yet to ask one of the Corps members for help, why.......cause I see how they are used and abused.  Do I still need help.......yes;  will I ask for it....probably not.  Not as long as they have to put up with the BS I see them having to endure.

My squadron and I salute the HTC Training Corps.  & if there is anything I can do to assist...................Don't hesitate.

Salute LTARokit, and LTAR Squadron.

Toooo funny.... it's a game and manages to drive a long long long thread on name calling.
I've actually been ticked off before in the game. But to use language or reference language such as was done in a game where kids are present is insane. We have enough bad parents out there without contributing to some of the kids confusion.

To all I said something about I appologize

To all I've shot down.... I have a box of parts to help repair your plane and a bottle of hot air to blow up another pneumatic pilot

To all those that shot me down..... all I ask back is the blender that was in my 38 for my margaritas :aok
