Title: playing DVDs on comp

does anyone know what i need to do to be able to watch DVDs on my system? whenever i put a DVD in it says i dont have an appropriate decoder installed?

you need something to PLAY the DVD's
like straffos link

or

power dvd (http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/products/main_1_ENU.html)

these will allow you to play the dvd format and weatch your movie.
if you have a dvd player/burner it should have had software bundled with the install cd that allows you to play dvd's
also most newer dvd's have dvd player software on the dvd itself that you can install and use. i just dont prefer anything that comes on the dvd's from the movie industry...I have trust issues
