We have 1 month and 3 weeks to get ready and form a plan.
We need the rules and the Forums opened up please.6 weeks is going to come fast. I have spoken with Doobs and he agrees we need these things up so we can get started planning.

well when the rules come out it is going to take a week to go over them and then a week or 2 to hash out any problems. Then that gives us 4 weeks to get Group leaders and have pratices. So the clock is ticking........
I just hope its not done 2 weeks before the event starts. :D

The rules are being finalized, the COs are Picked, and will be brought into the discussion probably this week when the forum is opened to them.
I'd take any issues up with the CO who chooses you to be on their team, as I don't intend to answer every question from everyone who asks, I'll deal with the Command Team, as I usually do.

you don't get to just fly allied, 2 frames and then a side switch and start all over, join me and finish on the usa side. Or start with whats his name and finish on the IJN side.
In essence fly with me and hit the pearl on Dec,7 as IJN and then ya get to fly with me as the allies on christmas, what better present could you ask for.

Seein as how I was in both of those, I'd love nothing better than to fly this one.
However, unless plans change drastically I'll be AT Pearl Harbor on December 7th. Believe it or not, its a tough choice for me, but I cant pass this up. Good luck Jordi!

I heard the previous Pearl runs had 2 frames of attacks, and then the teams switched and the other side got to do the same.
Is that still going to happen?

Well, unless you tell the allies what *they* will be able to do, they won't be interested in signing up. For example, I am wary of signing up because I don't know if I'll be sitting at a field for 3 hours just reporting locations of IJN bombers, or what. Historically there were few planes that got into the air to defend. I think you need to sell it more for the allied side.

While you are correct that historically, few planes made it up to defend the island (6 to be precise), there were several signs of the attacking force that were ignored, and not nearly as many scouts as could have been in use. Pearl as a scenario is very much a "what if" proposition, using scouts that could have and should have been up, and assuming a state of readiness existed to respond if Japanese forces were sighted. Even assuming an early sighting though, there are several options open to CO's on both sides that could make it interesting. I really do hate to miss this one.

The 332nd Flying Mongrels are going to sign up under doobs command.
Looking forward to going over the rules and how this will work. Will be the first Scenario the Mongrels have signed up for in 6+ years.

as well as some other squads I have talked to
DD, jst make sure the guys who want to fly this scenario are registered on the AH events board, I will need the bbs name and there ahevents # to get them registered. We shall get the CM team to explain that more.

The registration needs to be put in place and many other things.

Hey guys, I signed up Bravo team by accident. I wanna fly me some USN type planes. Alpha I think has it the first time out so could I geta transfer over that way and lead those Nasties from VF-6 off the Enterprise?

Group Leader as in Group Leader for bombers etc.
The Group Leader can then appoint his XOs and Flight Leaders (FL) within his group.
