When I take a break from Aces High and close it out, it gives me an error message when I try to reopen it. I have to reboot my puter in order to play again. I am not sure why, but I didnt have this problem until recently. The message I get is as follows:
DDHELP caused an invalid page fault in

If I could get some input it would be greatly appreciated. I hate waiting to reboot my puter cause I want to play NOW. HELP!

Is Roger Wilco set to "auto-launch"?
If so, disable it. Launch RW on your own. Same message?

No sir I do not have RW to auto launch. I have never figured all that rw and ah stuff out. I just start it up and put it on the freq they tell me to. ;)

What version of DirectX are you using?
What make of video card do you have?
Which version of video card drivers are you using for your card?
Since DDHELP launched, this leads me to believe it was an error in the DirectDraw module of the DirectX API.
This means basically that it should be isolated to the video card area.
I have been wrong before though. ;)

HOLY BUCKETS...hold on let me check

Here's something you can try before we get into the dirty business of updating drivers...
You say you launch RW yourself? Try running the Aces High program without RW running in the background.
I seem to remember getting this error, but it has since gone away when I updated DirectX to 8.0a.

Gforce2
latest version of software for it
Directx 8.0

This is the best I can come up with right now. I will keep digging around though.
Hopefully someone else can help you out if I can't, there has to be an answer laying around.

Be sure RW is set to use Wav recording.

The error associated with the DDHELP error, is usually video drivers not correctly installed.
This usually happens when someone upgrades or changes the video card and did not get a thorough de-install done of the previous drivers.

Here's the deal, after a few searches on GDI32.dll, I have isolated this to the graphics adapter or drivers.
You should try to remove all references to your previous graphics adapter in the registry.
DDHELP is related to DirectDraw and the GDI32.dll controls windows' graphics functions.
If you still need assistance (ie: how to hack the registry easily), post a reply and I will send you some links that will help you search and find the entries you need to remove from the registry.
