Hey all, Im requesting anybody who can to pray for my father.
yesterday he suffered a "cardiac event" at least thats what the Dr's are calling it right now.
He is in ICU and currently stable but, unconcious and on a ventalation machine.
He was already very very weak when this happened yesterday at about 4:30pm. Plus there could be brain damage from a lack of oxygen.
His heart did stop and he did stop breathing, nobody is really sure for how long tho.
We are hopeful that he will recover but, for now none of the doctors know anything definate.
I'll keep ya;ll updated when I get more info
Thanks,
Kevin

UPDATE**********
My father woke up this morning!!!! He is doing ALOT better.
his heart rate and pressure are up and show normal.
The doctor told us he did have a heart attack. They arent 100% certain what caused it or how bad it really was at this time.
He will probably stay in the hospital for a week maybe 2. There are several tests they still have to run.
I thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. It is difficult for me to reach out to ppl at times like this. Seeing my father in the ICU with all the tubes and sensors really had a affect on me tho.
My Dad is responsive and knows who we are and who he is. He doesnt remember the heart attack nor where he is but, I have been told thats normal.
Once again i thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support

If he's going to be there for 2 weeks, he's going to need some stuff to read.
I suggest the Count of Monte Cristo. A great book, which I'm sure he'll love the ending.

aye, im at home atm gathering up some reading material, his warm sued slippers, bathrob and toiletries ect.
he is still VERY groggy from all the sedatives they had him on.
I did inform hem that from this point on his life was going to changing just this side of drasticly
Exercise, eating healthier, exercise, and finding and sticking to a hobby. retirement has been really really hard for him. He has always working and now doesnt know what to do in his free time.
In a sense he had kinda "given up" to a point. he was feeling useless and bored with life.
Sooo myself and the rest of the family will be working to get him something to do to help keep his mind and body busy.

Sailing. A cheap sunfish will do. As long as his car has a hitch, he's good.
