Yet again, another pilot who's soul intention was to take photos of his flight and not keep the plane level..
Just kidding, congrats!

I beg your pardon for being a spelling nazi, but SOUL intention? Is that like inner gayness or something? :p

Thank you aces high and endless hours on teh computar :). I impressed the instructor and swear I heard the word "natural" somewhere. I even rocked the coordinated turn. I was relaxed and enjoyed every minute... can't for the next!
-
I pulled a slip on my first landing...
The instructor was like :O :furious
:D :t

Out of interest, how much would you be looking at spending to get a private pilot's license in the US?
I'm in Southern California if that makes a big difference.

I remember a 16 year old (or was it 17?) joining the squad...named Octavius...now he's FLYING REAL AEROPLANES!?!?! Congrats man! :)
Hey, did you steal a pic from me to make your avatar? ;)

Oh crap, now we have something more for homeland security to get orgasmic about...........:p
Congrats. Now that you've had the taste, are you going the rest of the way?
-
wooley, I'm looking to spend $6-7000.
Rip, that's my own chocolate pup back home Rip :). She looks more like a chesapeake, a very light brown coat.
Mav, hell yeah. I feel great after the first step and can't wait to get back up.

Nice pics.
Now put the camera away until you learn how to fly...
You'll lose training quality if you're worried about futzing around with a camera. Maximize your training time by focusing on flying, even when you're building your solo hours. If you have time to point the camera out the window, you'd be better off practicing turns around a point or calculating ground speed on the fly while navigating point to point off of VORs. Few things are as frustrating to an instructor as a student who is preoccupied with things other than learning.
Save the camera stuff for later. I'd say 100 hours but that's probably unrealistic. If you can exercise self restraint then carry it in your flight bag in case something happens that you want to document, but if not I suggest leaving the camera at home or in the car until after your checkride.

I find having a camera on board helps because if you have a near miss you can document where "he" was.

understood completely. this was mainly an intro pleasure cruise type deal, so no actual training has begun. Balls to the wall when it formally begins... just glad I didn't post the beer bong pic. :)
