Hi,
on different places i did read that the DB605AM and ASM need C3 fuel??
Is that true??
Couldnt find a related theatre with the search option.

no an AS(M) engined Bf 109 did not require C3 fuel - B4 + MW-50...
C3 + MW-50 was tested/used on the DB605D but it wasn't 'required' for this engine either.
-
Initially, planes equipped with MW 50 could only run on C3 fuel. In late 44, a TAGTT was issued allowing also B4 fuel.
-
Yep, the planes initially set up for the MW50 seem to allways have a C3 triangle.

Origianly they required C3+MW-50 but later on the restriction was relaxed and B4+MW-50 could be used. When running on B4 the engine was succeptible to break in case MW-50 was to run out.
