http://snappoll.com/poll/141700.php
I made this poll to see how some of us will be voting in the upcoming election....
Theres obviously tons of candidates running for tons of offices in your state, and I didnt want to make 10+ polls for each office, so if your voting party line, or for the most part in the direction of one party.........OR if your all over the place, just pick the most important race to you for this poll....

Drunk.
Looks like libs got this year.

Independent for a long time

In any race that a democrat can or will win.... I vote republican.
In any race where a republican is ahead by a huge margin... I vote libertarian.
I don't vote for any new law that takes away someones rights no matter how much money it is claimed to save and I don't vote for any new tax no matter how much they say we need it to grow the government.

Hmmm thats pretty much how I vote????????????
-
I dont vote by party. I vote by person. If the incumbant has been doing a good job and I have no problems with the person I vote for the incumbant. If I have issues with the incumbant I vote for the new guy/gal. If its a toss up I'll vote for the republican. I worry more about the local elections (county judges, precinct commissioners, etc) they have a direct impact on our day to day lives, roads, business, land use, schools, and such.
-
I'm pretty sure we're voting with Diebold machines... so regardless of what you pick, there's really no telling who you're voting for. :noid
-
I'll be voting for Lieberman. Many of my friends and family say that I'm just keeping the same guy in office forever, and nothing will ever change. This might be true, but if I voted for Lamont, all it would accomplish is having a new guy in office forever, and nothing would ever change.
Plus I like Joe. He's not exactly centrist but he's definately moreso than Lamont.
Also, I'm getting more and more fed up with the Republican party. I'm not a big fan of the Bible. I do like Habeus Corpus. They aren't doing a whole lot to get my swing vote.
-
I'll be skipping this one. I don't have my absentee ballot, and I am not registered in this county.
And I'm beginning to get tired of voting for republican or democrat when I believe in neither.
-
i'm voting for Ohio State until(if) they lose.
they earned their spot at the top.
-
as angry s I am with the conservatives, all I have to do is think of pelosi as speaker of the house and I know how my vote will roll.
-
I am voting my conscience as always, irregardless of party afiliations. Who I am voting for is personal and not for public dissemination.
In other words, nunya bizzness. :p
-
airscrew... you don't get to vote the person... no matter what.. you are voting the party.
No matter what he says... he will represent you in lockstep with the party he represents... they may let him have a no vote or a yes vote that isn't lockstep if the fix is in allready.
If you think you are voting the individual you are gullible. At least on a national level....
local? sometimes a little different.

Lazs, I'm talking local and state reps. those are people I see, some I may live next door too. we live, eat, and sleep in the same geographical space so to speak.

laz, did you effing sleep through the whole Lamont/Lieberman primary? What the hell do you think Lamont's victory was all about? Lieberman was anything but a party guy - well, Democratic party anyway.
Just surprised you could still make such an ignorant statement after what happened in Connecticut this year. I don't mean to insult, but I suspect you are somehow incapable of acquiring new information, seriously.

That's why I like him, heck I'm a California Republican and I sent Lieberman some money lol

Lieberman is the exception not the rule. He had or has a certain amount of political clout and he can do what he wants when he wants. Alot of those representatives in the House and Senate spend a lot of time kissing bellybutton and will vote the party line so they can get things they want for their states and district, and that goes for both parties national and state legislatures. Its called comprimise, I'll kiss your bellybutton and vote for your bill even though I dont like it and its probably not good for everybody if you promise to get my district a highway construction or federal building contract.

Straight Republican ticket....with the possible exception of the governor's race. Asa Hutchinson has made statements supporting the consolidation of small rural schools....like the one I taught at for a quarter of a century. I may decline to vote in that race....but haven't entirely made up my mind.

i'm writing in chuck norris as always
-
politicians like leiberman and mcain are not really exceptions in my opinion... they are fence sitters.
Both have one thing in common... they are middle of the road and will allways vote for bigger government. They will never tilt the vote one way or the other tho.
look at liebermans voting record... the whole big deal is over support for a war... look at his voting record tho... he votes lockstep for bigger govenment and socialism just like the rest of his party.

I'm voting Kinky, why the hell not.
-
I vote maily on my pocket book...which ever has most probably impact of leaving me more $$ in bank account at the end of the year..call it greedy & self interested...but it is the biggest area that directly impacts my daily life.

can you say President Pelosi?
As speaker of the house, all it'd take is for bush and cheney to be killed at the same time and she is ... talk about going to hell in a hand basket quick
-
Speaker Pelosi and Reed....I shudder at the thought.
I'd really love to see Congressman Peter King become the Speaker of the house. He is the man!
Wed, OCT 25th, Pete King responding to a caller's question on the Larry Elder's show..."Ofcourse there are problems with our Northern border, but the reason we must tackle the Southern border fiasco first, is because the RMP are actually compitent, and willing to help"
gotta love the guy!

so who controls them, king bush or the drunk ted kennedy party?

gunslinger... the reason you wouldn't vote for kinky would be the exact same reason that you wouldn't vote for hillary... and... why rpm will vote for both hillary and kinky every chance he gets.
kinky is a sucker vote. He may entertain you but the increased taxes and loss of freedoms won't be quite so funny.

And the Dems responded by cutting off his DNC funds and forbidding any fund raising on his behalf. Have you seen how squirrelly Dems get when asked about Lieberman?, his long time friends cant even publicly support him even if they think hes the best guy for the job because the DNC tells them they must tow the party line.
The republiclone RNC did the same thing to that guy in Arizona for simply criticizing Bush. Do a Google on Hastert, hes famous for punishing non lock steppers by yanking them off, or not giving committee seats, cutting their pork projects, ignoring their bills, holding 3am votes not inviting the 'trouble makers' who wont vote in lock step... you can read all about it.
The crime families give orders, they call "talking points", from the top and anyone who isn't a party robot gets dealt with.
BTW Lieberman is a low life DC native bottom feeder looking to hold on to his power at any cost, he shouldn't be allowed to soil the "Independent" title like he is.

actually laz I'm confident quite the opposite will happen. With an independent in the gov seat the state senate will do everything they can to oppose him. In this case doing nothing is better than doing something.

If it looks like a socialist, walks like a socialist, talks like a socialist, has the ideals of a socialist...
Guns, normally I'd claim to try to help you away from these silly ideals. But trully, I'm hoping you get burned. And burned bad. As well as the rest of the republicans here.
When asked, I'd bet 80% of the 'Republicans' here prefer libertarian ideals, yet vote republican to keep the democrats out. If we actually did vote libertarian, we'd create a party so large that it would dwarf the repubs and demos combined. But no. We're going to vote slight socialists instead of major socialists.
And I'll be sitting here thanking god that the revolution just got pushed forward by 2 years.
