I've been waiting for it to come out but a couple of designers are building a BSG mod to the Free Space engine.  Some of it is just unreal looking.  THey plan on having a story line and everything.  I'll look for the link

Holy crap.

What kind of hardware is needed for that game and mod?

Finally a game that looks like it may just get it right.

unfortunatly the physics that makes the movie so great won't exactly be included in the game.  Also, who knows when it will be done, I've been checking up on this sight for about 6 months now and they havn't exactly updated it yet.

Try it out yrself.

And the newtonian physics within the engine can be tweaked to the levels BSG has - just a matter of adjusting a slider within FRED.
