Title: LA 5fn and LA 7 icon changed to LA

I think that the LA series fighters should get some generic icon label so they are not distinguishable from each other.
There is less difference between an la5 fn and 7 then there is between The varios jugs and hogs spits ponies 109s and 190s. All benefit from a certain level of fog of war because of the icon system. The LA5 deserves the same advantage.

I agree. That would promote the use of la5, since 5 will outturn 7.

This would also be historicaly correct. It's known that after the introduction of the Mark IX Spit, FW drivers began to give all Spits a bit more room. They were used to downing the Mark V, but found the differences between the two marks almost impossible to spot at combat ranges. I'm sure the Allies had the same experience.

Icons in gaming should be there (in an MA envioroment) purely as IFF.

We can't do with out them (unless, of course, we could skin our planes with Bish/rook/knight insignia); but that doesn't mean they have to be too informative.

If we have separation between 202 and 205, or la5 and la7, why dont we have p47-30 or -25 separation then?
OR f4u-c and f4u-d? I recognice their differences, but that takes always lots of turns and close fighting.
It should be so, that icons are just for long range helpers, since we cant tell 190 from p38 unless its d500 in 1024x resolution.
