I'm thinking of a new map that will use MA basics but with a twist to discourage milkrunning and make the war more interesing.
I'm still studying the editor but some of you experienced map makers may help me a little or at least save me some time and frustrations:
A.
The town is a separate object from the base which is associated with the base.
1. Can I make fields without a town? will it cause problems (see #3)?
2. Can I place towns without fields associated with them?
3. what is the condition for winning, owning the bases or owning towns (map rooms)?
B.
The map is reset when a country is down to 3 bases, is this correct? It is also hard coded right?
C.
Skuzzy says on the sticky post that rearranging the base layout is forbidden. What about adding manned guns on the base perimeter or near the town (remote spawns like a shore battary)? or Shore batteries inland?
Is it possible?
Is it allowed?
What about fiddling with the durability of certain objects?
D.
What is the limit on the number of manned positions (shore and ack guns) in a base? (assuming 'C' is allowed)
E.
Is limiting plane types in certain bases allowed? For example, disabling heavy bombers in certain bases?
After I figure out the possibilities and think about the straight forward obvious
problems, I'll post a draft / sketch for your ideas and criticism.
Thanks
Bozon

It’s an arena setting htc determines.

So putting an un-captureable base that has no town is ok?
