Hello MrWulf
Are you running DX8.0
Have you got the lastest Nvida video driver?
I just installed GeForce2 MX 400 Sunday and had problems with aceshigh screen turning blue.
Installed DX8.0 and also install this lastest drive and now I'm ok.

I have pretty much the same problem: erratic very short screen freezes, very much like a stutter. I turned down the sound accel in DXDiag, no difference. I have noticed the stutters seem to be somewhat in sync with the small burbles shown in the net status along with occuring at the end of the gun firing sound. In addition, there is a thin light coloured band that flashes across the very bottom of the screen in sync with the stutters. Any insights?

Ok guys here is how you fix it. Its an old problem, that deals with the hardware acceleration setting for your sound card.
Go To:
Control Panel
Multimedia Properties
Audio Tab
Playback Advanced Properties
Hardware Acceleration Slider
Move the slider back one, or preferably two notches, and it should fix your problem.
