Title: Upgrading from V2.00.....?

Hi All,

Been away for a few years. I still have AH2 patch 5 on my system. What is the best way to upgrade to the latest version and keep all my settings from those days? Been a long time since I last flew, don't remember where all the configs are stored, or if they are still the same with the current version.

Hi Boa, lots of changes since you were last here.

You will need to download and install AH entirely again. But it's still worth the download. Just keeps getting better and better.

Im afraid that RTR is right.... you wont be able to upgrade through autoupdater, since HTC switched servers a few versions ago.

Not sure about your settings folder either, but its certainly worth trying, at least for the head position files. The stick.cfg has changed format to severs .jsm files, you wont be able to reuse that. Also, i wouldnt import the vid settings either - theres been lots of changes there, including some optimization codes and new options.

Thanks guys. Sounds I might as well, just redownload and install from scratch. Now I gotta call Balmos to see if he'll let me have my old handle back :-)

First back up your settings folder in AcesHigh. Download new version. Install it. Then replace the settings folder with your old one and everything should work just fine just as it was before.
