Hey, does anyone have any suggestions on a good oral prep guide for a private pilots license?
I have one already, but I'm looking for something online. For whatever reason I've lost the ability to absorb and retain knowledge from written materials and I'm having a heck of a time preparing. My written is done, I've got more then enough hours, I just need to do my checkride.
Thanks a lot in advance

Try the Private Pilot Oral Exam Guide:

surprised you haven't seen one. Your FBO/Flight School/CFI at minimum should have shoved it in your face on the first day you took an intro flight.

Like golfer said, study the ppl oral guide...DO NOT STUDY OUT OF ANYTHING ELSE....Remember way back when you first started flying, and you bought that neat little black jeppessen pilot bag filled with those interesting books? Study them all, and nothing else! I can gurantee you that on the day of your checkride, the DE will be reading right out of the PPL Oral, and PPL Maneuvers (practical)....

check PMs

It's empty ????????? :lol

cause i didn't send you one. muahahhaha

Thats actually the book I have, mwuhaha.
Unfortunately I'm such a computer nerd that its hard for me to read and remember from it. I was hoping for perhaps an online transcription of some sort
Anyway, replied to your PMs Golfer..
Oh..and the Jeppsenn goodie bag.. that brings me back about 4 years :)

Trust me, just memorize the question's in the oral exam guide and the maneuvers for the practical in the ppl maneuver guide......
I'm telling you now, the DE will be reading directly out of those two books during your checkride

Uh... I think moose is saying he wishes there was an audio he could listen to to prepare for the oral.
Or, maybe not.
Heck, I'm confused now, too.

maybe someone can call him up and read it to him over the phone :t

Perhaps you should consider postponing your pilots license until the ability to absorb and retain knowledge from written manuals returns? Otherwise, maybe you can get a spouse or girlfriend to quiz you from the book. I hear you can also pay women who will do that sort of thing, but it's always best to negotiate any activities before starting. Good luck!
