Title: Mafia
Post by: cav58d on November 01, 2006, 02:20:47 PM
What's the whole innfacuation (sp) with these scumbag's?  I swear 2 God, every "italian american", or so they claim, that I meet tells me in one way or another how their family is connected, or they know someone connected...

I think anyone that glamourizes criminal's and murderer's are pathetic...

Why is it that italian resturant's can have a picture on the wall of John Gotti, but German American resturants can have a picture of Hitler?

They stand for the same thing no?  murder, cheating and corruption

There is no law the prohibits the picture of Hitler from being displayed in a German restaurant in the U.S.  Now whether or not anyone chooses to eat at an eatery that has said picture will remain open for very long is an entirely different matter.

ack-ack

I'm a quarter Italian and I've never heard of anyone that bragged about being associated with the mafia until this thread. I'm not...as far as I know.

Heh, Try telling them they cant ad you will find out why LOL

Went to my neices kids christening  in a little itallian resturaunt a few months back in Jersey City.

Tell ya one thing. Flipping Italians know how to eat thats for sure.

But sitting there I felt like I was in a movie.
I just wasnt sure which one.
Goodfellas, a Bronx Tale or The Godfather.
My brother in law Said the exact same thing to me

About the only thing that was missing was Lucca Brazzi walking through the door in a trenchcoat and bulletproof vest.

The resturant was in what was obviously a rough neighborhood. then again. Jersey city itself is a rough neiighborhood LOL
Anyway. Graffiti sprayed on buildings that were less then well kept. but this joint was pristine.
On a semiu busy street this Hummer was double parked for the entire time I was there. which If youve ever been at an itallian feast you know Dinner consists of no less then 6 courses served over about a 5 hour period.
Cops would ride by hve to wait for oncomming traffic to clear so they could get around the double parked Hummer taking up the entire lane.

LOL No. this guy wasnt connected..Much

Remember. Those typically murdered bythe mob arent nice guys either.
and like it says in the Godfather. Its buisness
Saw an inderview with a former mobster
Where he echoed those remarks.
Something like.

"Remember those guys I killed werent nice guys either. It was buisness.
To walk upto someone on the stret and pull a gun and say give me your money. I couldnt do it. But these guys were buisness."

They kill each other off..so what

As for curruption and cheating.

Well one needs look no farther then any professional politician.
Hell, you probably wouldnt need to look any farhter then your local School board
