Flyboy:

Getting help is the best move you can make. I was stubborn enough to that I waited way too long to get it -- and it slowed me down a lot.

I'd suggest you try emailing trainers@flyaceshigh.com. That message will go to a group of dedicated players who volunteer time to teach the game's finer points....and there is NO SUBSTITUTE for doing the moves you need.

There are a TON of books and net resources about flighter combat.  Here are a few:

Netaces.com

Great seris of 3 articles on flight maneuvers (http://www.combatsim.com/htm/jan99/ACM-pt1a.htm)

SimHQ.com

Here's one about getting a grip on 3d combat (http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_038a.html)

Bongaroo, I think such a reply is uncalled for in the Help and Training Section.

Flyboy, check out this page on net aces: http://www.netaces.org/genacm/maneuvers.html

More info can be found on http://trainers.hitechcreations.com under "learning to fly", "advanced flight tactics" and "tactics".

Next time you see me in TA, ask me about it and well go through the basic maneuvers together, what they are called, how to fly them and what to pay attention to when flying them. If you want to, you can also send a mail to trainers @ hitechcreations.com and ask for a scheduled training session.
