It sounds like things are ramping up in term of fraud and criminal interference with the election. I was thinking it might be of interest to start documenting them here.

Republicans are so afraid to run on their merits that they continue to resort to dirty tricks.
Post a more intelligent article if you want a discussion.

The daily kos?!?!?!?!?!?!?:rofl :rofl :rofl

And so it begins. And the polls haven't even opened yet.

VOR, just posting the interesting looking threads. The core issue is that someone appears to be threatening these voters against voting for democrats. I'm sure the democrats have been doing scummy stuff too, lets see some more links.
BTW, here's another e-voting machine irregularity example that can't be ascribed to calibration:
http://www.votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1967&Itemid=26
-
The threats sound like some bubbas pulling a prank, if those events happened at all. I don't see it as a threat to the system overall. It's hardly feasible to imagine hiring enough telephone thugs to call every registered democrat or republican and convince them they'll be arrested if they show up to vote. I've seen better scams come out of Nigeria.
Voting machines (like all electronic gizmos and thingies) can be manipulated by a savy geek regardless of the security systems implemented.
Overall, the voter fraud pandemic hysteria has likely set the stage for the losing side (whichever it may be) to call foul and obstruct the democratic process through legal means versus the thousands of dead voters who have managed to rise from their graves and cast a vote over the years.
-
Yup. Dangling chad, anyone?
Either way there's gonna be *****ing and moaning.
-
This thing won't be decided until December. And it's going to be ugly. Real ugly.

Hey Chairboy,
I drove to Portland this last weekend, and saw Saxton signs all the way, but when I got to Portland, Kulongowski signs predominate. I don't know why we don't just declare the mayor of Portland the governor anyway. Who gives a ---- about southern or eastern Oregon anyway? Hell even Eugene doesn't count.
You and I live in a state where all you have to do is show a drivers licence and you can get on the voter rolls.
In order to get a driver's licence, all you have to do is show an electric bill in your name at the DMV.
Our current governor doesn't care whether one is here legally or not, just show up with a bill showing that you pay bills in Oregon.
But probably no illegal votes will be counted tomorrow... I am sure all the folks who voted by mail are honest and forthright in their use of voting rights.
-
ya'll got alot of illegals up there too?
wow.

Maybe you need to get a grip on life chairboy. If anyone is getting started ramping up it's pretty obvious it's the Dems. Dems have learned from their past history that the way to get things done without having to have facts is to take it to the press who hardly ever question whether the allegation is substantiated or not when the accuser is a Dem. The fact that 99% of Dem claims are completely disproven after the election is hardly ever reported, and never with the types of headlines generated during the campaign. Of course by then, the story that the Republicans stole yet another election is part of urban myth simply because it has been repeated so often. The Dems then go on to use this myth to claim the winners (Republicans naturally) are illigitimate. Just google "voter fraud" and look at all of the hysterical and breathless claims by Dems that just about every single race they lost was stolen.
Of course, it would also be useless to point out to you that the great majority of areas where Dems claimed voter improprieties were, in fact, controlled by the Dems themselves. Cook County, IL., Broward County, FL.; Dade Country, FL; Palm Beach Country, FL; Franklin County, OH; Milwaukee, WI; and King County, WA; (plus a bunch more in New York, New Jersey, New Orleans, etc., etc., etc.) all have Democrats running their elections.
The Dem plan of attack is not just intuitively obvious to the casual observer but actually part of their written strategy to 'front load' accusations in preparation for their coming defeat:
From the American Center on Voting Rights regarding the 2004 election(Link) (http://www.ac4vr.com/reports/072005/executivesummary.html) :
An internal Kerry-Edwards/DNC manual obtained by the press in October 2004 urged Democrat operatives to launch “pre-emptive strikes” alleging Republican voter intimidation against minority voters, regardless of whether evidence of such intimidation actually existed. The Kerry-Edwards/DNC “Colorado Election Day Manual” stated: “If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch ‘pre-emptive strike.’” (5) (Exhibit A) Though titled “Colorado Election Day Manual” this document and its recommendations were reportedly part of the campaign plan used by Democrats in Florida and other battleground states.
Funny thing about Dems leading with pre-emptive claims of voting improprieties is that they are now concerned that Black voters are not planning on turning out to vote tomorrow....why? Because they believe the Dem hype that their votes won't count anyway.
More interesting info from the report:
....Just as it is clear that the outcome of the election in Ohio was decided fairly, it is also clear that thousands of Americans were disenfranchised by illegal votes cast on November 2. For every illegal vote cast and counted on Election Day, a ballot cast by a legitimate voter is cancelled out, effectively disenfranchising the properly registered voter. In Wisconsin, a joint federal-local law enforcement task force found “clear evidence of fraud in the Nov. 2 election in Milwaukee,” including hundreds of illegal votes by double voters and felons. (133) In Washington, a state judge found that more than 1,600 illegal and fraudulent votes were cast in an election decided by a mere 133 votes. (134) In both Wisconsin and Washington, illegal votes may have decided statewide elections in 2004.
....In addition to actual illegal votes, there appears to have been a coordinated effort by members of some organizations to rig the election system through voter registration fraud. Criminal investigations and news reports suggest that thousands of fictional voters such as the now infamous Jive F. Turkey, Sr., Dick Tracy and Mary Poppins were registered to vote. This widespread voter registration fraud was accompanied by an apparently coordinated national litigation strategy to manipulate election laws in battleground states and, specifically, to eliminate the provisions of election law that would prevent vote fraud. If successful, this litigation may have allowed Dick Tracy to vote not once, but twice.
OK, so Dems have driven the hype about voter fraud to insane levels. We all know it's on the rise....right? How about this report by Demos in 2003 (Link): (http://www.demos.org/pubs/EDR_-_Securing_the_Vote.pdf)
The overall conclusion of the report is that election fraud in the United States is low and fraud has had a minimal impact on electoral outcomes. The report also finds that the important electoral reforms of recent years have not led to increased election fraud and, in some cases, have helped reduce the potential for fraud.
Scary stuff....right? In a way it is but not because of any voter fraud. The fact that so many Americans and people around the world actually believe the Dem BS is staggering.

So anyways...

Apparently robo-callers are being used illegally as well.

Oh, good response. You've got some telephone calls that might not be copacetic, yeah very scary stuff. Too bad Halloween is past. Of course instead of worrying about a few phone calls you could check out the ads the Dems are running in Missouri claiming Jim Talent wants you and your children to die:Here (http://www.youtube.com/p.swf?video_id=3RnRCK7wQrc&eurl=http%3A//www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_110606/content/roll2.guest.html&iurl=http%3A//sjl-static14.sjl.youtube.com/vi/3RnRCK7wQrc/2.jpg&t=OEgsToPDskJ7Uh1AI8aBIZreWxClhe6G)
How many lies does it take to constitute fraud in your book? Where do you even begin on this POS ad? Let's pick one, stem cell research. Talent voted against Federally Funded EMBRYONIC stem cell research. None of the other forms of stem cell research are affected, no stem cell research of any kind is prohibited by anyone or any state, and this administration is the only administration that provided any funding whatsoever for stem cell research Here (http://stemcells.nih.gov/index.asp) . But these jokers have a little girl asking "How come he thinks he gets to decide who lives and who dies. Who is he?"
Now, do some real deep thinking, compare and contrast these two "bad things" and tell me some questionable phone calls are worse and we should really, really be worked up about them.

Are you getting enough oxygen? Post some links, I know both sides are doing crummy stuff.
Stop attacking windmills.

I plan on voting at least six times at Capitol City Church tomorrow, but only six.
We don't want to make it too obvious here in Franklin County.:noid

Let's see, the great majority of voter fraud charges are leveled by one party. That same party has "pre-emptive" attack as part of its written playbook. The vast majority of the charges are disproved after the election. The charges become part of urban myth and are used to delegitimize the winner.
Follow-on effects are depressed voter turnout, a national loss of confidence in the system, and international fallout because of the belief in the grossly overstated significance of voter fraud. All this while studies have shown that voter fraud is NOT on the rise.
So, is propogating the voter fraud myth as you're attempting to do with your thread more important than discussing the reality of a well-coordinated propaganda machine and it's effect in the larger problem of voter confidence? Who's tilting at windmills CB?
-
only if the dumbarsecrats lose right?
if they win, why of course there wasn't any funny business....
are they busing in the bums and giving away free smokes for this election or do they save that for the presidential races ...
-
you don't mean like when old joe kennedy bought the election for jack dearest do ya? the thing is the great president richard nixon declined to drag the prestige of the nation through the mud by publically allegeding fraud had occurred, unlike vice president al gore did fourty years later.
-
Hey, if we weren't vigilant about voter fraud, we'd no doubt have many more slimeballs attempting to massage the vote like this Democratic Incumbant Mayor in Texas who tried to set up FREE Flu Shot stations in the polls at the Hispanic and Black sections of town, before he was caught red-handed and forced to stop. The mayor just happened to be the former Chairman of the state Democratic Party who served in the administration of former President Clinton. Hmmm.

I so can't wait until Nov 8th. I am so so so sick of the election adds and acrimony.

Chairboy,
Once again you loose credibility by only looking at one side. Voter fruad and intimidation has never been a sole propriaty to the republican party.
Robo-calls
Democrats (http://www.soundpolitics.com/archives/002772.html) use (http://www.shaysforcongress.org/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=17978) them too (http://point08.blogspot.com/2005/05/phone-call-from-deval-patrick.html)
By the way, when GOP moderate Rep. Chris Shays pointed out deceptive robo calls, liberal critics ridiculed him for complaining about trivialities (http://www.shayswatch.com/?q=node/171) and mocked him for resorting to desperate diversions.
Then if this is true, it is most shocking:
In wards 7, 19, 51 in Philly, PA, the crowds are going wild. Inside several voting locations, individuals have poured white out onto the polling books and the poll workers are allowing voters to go into the polls and vote without first registering. Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat.
RNC lawyers have headed to the scene of the incidents, which are occurring in mostly hispanic precinct locations. The District Attorney has also been contacted.
More from the ground: Reports of voter intimidation by son-in-law of Philadelphia City Commissioner in 19th Ward. Carlos Mantos is not allowing Republican poll watchers with valid poll-watching certificates monitor polling places.
http://www.redstate.com/stories/elections/2006/breaking_philly_fraud
Lets not forget that last election that it was two domcrat politician's sons that slashed tires on election day to prevent republicans from voting (http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=295538) They even worked on the local Kerry campaign staff.
Yes that glass house of yours is looking great!

The president of the Franklin County Board of Elections was/is a republican, and the Secretary of State in Ohio was/is a republican. Just how was the election being run by democrats?

Golly-geen, you folks see only what you want to see. I was only posting the republican fraud examples because THOSE were the first ones I saw. I was ASKING for people to post more from both sides, and I REPEATEDLY said that I knew the democrats were doing the same stuff.
This is aimed at Gunslinger and Mace, what in tarnation is wrong with you?

He's really busy, and does not have time to be bothered with damning anything for anyone who does not believe in him.......................... .................
You replaced Hell with tarnation, but you left God in. Now THAT'S funny, I don't care who you are.
And maybe you posted Republican fraud claims because that's what YOU wanted to see.

Your claim of impartiality appears to be wearing a bit thin.
-
To hell with you, I don't need this. I was hoping to see links documenting fraud from all sides. I know that there are democrats doing the same stuff, I want to see the links to them. I posted the ones I did because THOSE are the ones in the news right now. You're so hopped up on hating me that you'll ignore everything I say and hear only what you expect to hear.
Instead of being civil, you make personal attacks. Instead of responding to the request for links, you just assume I'm some sort of democrat lover and start slamming me instead of the bias of the media.
Virgil Hits, Mace, Gunslinger, I don't know what your problem is.

Lukster, I was just posting what was in the news. Like I said before but apparently none of you can freaking read, I KNOW THE DEMOCRATS ARE DOING THIS STUFF TOO.
The democrat driven voting fraud just isn't getting news coverage, and that's wrong. What part of that do you people not understand? Why are you guys attacking me instead of the media?
Finally, I'm less likely to vote democrat than I am to vote republican. Do you need me to take some sort of test or something before you'll actually read what I write? What does that say about you?

It's not hard to determine your allegiance Chairboy. Just about every critical post you make references Republicans or conservatives. If this does not accurately reveal your leaning just say so.

It does not accurately reflect my leaning, and is not actually an accurate statement. You must have missed every freaking thread where I criticize big government (a democratic pasttime). Do you need me to take some sort of little test or something before you'll actually respond to the freaking message instead of misrepresenting my posts?
What is wrong with you?
Followup, why the hell do you have to know my 'allegiance'? WTF?
I'm no democrat, if it makes you feel better, and I'm not interested in voting for them.
-
I couldn't care less about your allegiance. I was simply responding to your outrage. What I said was accurate. If you don't believe me examine your posts.
-
What are you even talking about? Here, I'll make it easy for you with a little "Chairboy cheat sheet" so you don't have to think too hard:
1. Chairboy does not like big government.
1a. He doesn't like democrats because they work to create a big nanny-state and want the federal government to have too much power.
1b. He also doesn't care for the current administration because they're doing 1a much more effectively than the incompetent democrats ever could.
1c. He's more likely to vote republican than democrat, but the Libertarian party most accurately represents his views.
2. Chairboy likes guns.
3. Chairboy doesn't like religious intervention in government.
There, I've saved you the work of having to go through my posting history with the aim of seeing what was actually written instead of what you wanted to see.
-
Chairboy, if you think I hate you, you give yourself far too much credit. You really don't MATTER enough to earn hatred.
However, regardless of what is or is not in the news, you post links and articles against Republicans and religion. I think that it is hilarious for you to claim lack of bias in light of the fact that you are obviously VERY biased.
Further, I commented on that bias and made a joke of it, and you went off the deep end over it. That's funny, and I'm going to laugh about it and point out why I'm laughing.
If you don't want people to point out your obvious bias, call you on it, and laugh about it, then either don't post, or try to avoid your extreme and obvious bias.
Hatred for you? Hardly. Amused by you? Absolutely.
-
You're not worth it, Virgil.
You apparently can't have a civil conversation, and you misrepresent the people you're talking to because straw man arguments are the only ones you're good at.
Your actions reflect poorly on yourself.

Oh, and this is something other than an ad hominem attack?
Get over youself.
YOU screamed bias, YOU went on a rant, and I laughed. I made a joke about your use of God and Hell in a post, as an athiest, and then I called you on your own bias while you rant on the bias of others. If you cannot handle it, then don't do it.
I made a joke and suddenly I am uncivilized? And you go on a screaming rant and call me uncivilized? You sir, need to look in the mirror.
-
I suppose it's possible that you are ignorant of your bias against conservatives Chairboy. Perhaps you aren't liberal, I don't know or care, but your bias against conservatives is clear to most of us. No biggie but it is amusing to see you get your panties in a wad over it.
-
Ok, I guess the group here isn't as level headed as I thought. MPs, feel free to lock the thread, it's a waste. I'm heading out to catch a plane. I give up, I just wanted to make a thread where both the democratic and republican vote fraud could be documented, but that's apparently just not possible.
-
i usually read captain hilts posts out loud with a special sock puppet that i designed just for him.
it's like blah blah blah (hate hate) blah. hate hate blah. blah blah, discursive arguement, blah blah ad hominem blah, attack, spin spin, rinse, drag clinton into it, blah blah...etc.
and then i put him back in his closet and go about my day.
you should try it chairboy.
